PlayStation Japan has released two new humorous MGSV:TPP commercials showing a marriage between a couple wearing cardboard boxes.
Here is a translation by Kotaku:
In this spot for The Phantom Pain, the bride thanks her father and Metal Gear Solid for the various things she’s learned over the past 28 years, such has never giving up no matter the circumstances, having a fun sense of humor, and being kind. “But,” the bride says, “there’s one thing I haven’t yet learned: Metal Gear Solid’s greatest mystery.” Her father then pops out of the box, hands her a PlayStation 4 controller, and tells her to solve that mystery with her husband. At the end, the waiter goes, “The heck is this?”

Friends, I have a question for you.
I bought the day one version of GZ, and received a code to be used in TPP.
I tried to use the code the same day, but I got an error message, and I tried again today with no result. Have you guys alredy valiated your code, or is it only avaliable on September 1st?

I just saw mad max fury road yesterday and it was freaking good, it make me take in consideration mad max the game , the thing is idk if it’ll be worth it or not , what do you guys say?
first of all i loved the movie too. i just cant get warm with the game but i wasnt a big fan of just cause so maybe i just have bad taste 🙂
I’m definitely getting Mad Max the game but there’s zero point in me getting it at launch, I’ll get it a few months from now when I’m slightly less obsessed with MGS V, it’ll be cheaper and I’ll actually have time to play it.
i’m not a fan of the old movies but fury road was great, which was a real big surprise to me. been watching the gameplay of the new game and have to say it looks boring to me. also its not even tom hardy as mad max. but i have a simple answer for i you want to achieve the game: buy mgs5, it will keep you busy long enough. when the time comes and you’re ready for something new mad max will already be cheaper.
I liked the first ones , the first and second movie, the third one was different was boring , but yeah fury road is great. And yeah I think I’ll wait on buying the game

I generally don’t go for games based off of movies. From my experience with them they are fairly linear.
They always suck, but this mad max game is based off the franchise, not s specific movie or movie plot, so nothing linear here 🙂
So far the Licenced WB Games have been all Good and great, from Shadow of Mordor to even Arkham Knight, that’s not a bad Game!
Worth it? yes. Not because of the movie though, both mad max, but have nothing to do with each other.
I would advise watching the trailers and gameplay and then make your consensus, personally I think it looks rather bland and uninspired. I watched IGN’s livestream of the game and aside from clunky mechanics and controls, the game was rooted in the same old conventions pretty much every open world game has refined and perfected over the years – drive to outpost X take it out with the arbitrary playstyles the level design and enemy placement dictates rather than you. There’s also the narrative qualms I have: after watching the story trailers the story looks like actual shit: If they game was never called Mad Max I would of never even guessed the protagonist was Max bar the horrendous aussie accents that may have hinted at it – Max seems to talk way too much (BB acts way more like Max), and he doesn’t seem crazy, just some generic cardboard cut out with guns, an- yeah, as you can tell I don’t like the game.

If you watch the movie first, you have lost the first time experience of reading the book. And in this particular case, I find the book far superior to the movie. Just my 2 cents
True for older books and movies, but honestly most books turned movie are a bad version of the book. The book is the original story with all the details told in the original way it was meant to. A movie off of a book has hacked down the details to make it only an hour or two long. Reading the book is 90% of the time a better choice, BUT I do agree with you, do both, like one? do the other!
Also read Moby Dick. I have got about half way through. Narrative wise it’s a bit sparse, the only plot development was so far basically the first 25 pages-ish and now it’s just citing allegories for whaling and life, but the way it’s written is masterful: the way Melville seamlessly switches prose is something I’ve never seen before, and it’s really interesting to see how intense whaling was back then culturally, they literally viewed it as life and death, man vs God – well you could watch the movie, but I don’t think (judging from what I’ve read so far) that it would be a very good film due to the skeletal story only there to really pace the word flow and its various allegories.

Well, looks like i may actually, unfortunatelly be right, the PC Version is not done yet, which is why there is no Pre-Load, hope i’m wrong tough.
I think it has to do with people not tapping into the game’s files and finding mega spoilers. They did it with Ground Zeroes and were able to see what that elusive medic looks like. I guess they took a look at that and said, ” Yeshhhhh no.” Don’t worry, the game is finished through and through.

I was so damned deranged that I actually contemplated paying $199.99 for an early copy of MGS V:TPP only to change my mind at the last minute because it said that the earliest I would get it would be September 31 lol. Fuck the ebay scammers.
I almost did that too, lol. But the delivery time just killed it for me.

This is a good deal. My collector’s edition will come 1-2 sept. After the edition will arive I will change second copy of the game for Mad Max on ps4. I will not loose the money and I have TPP earlier : )

Okey so for me Steam download for TPP unlock around 07.00 on 1st. Well that’s not too bad, to get to play on the morning :). Btw a question, how many of you will play TPP with Keyboard+Mouse? I’ve tried it quite a bit with GZ and works well, although at first it felt weird as I usually play most games with controller.

i was a HUGE fan of the original Dark Souls and especially Demon Souls….i will probably buy Dark Souls 2:Scholar of the first sin with Bloodborne early next year…and then eventually when i finish those get the Dark Souls 3….i love hardcore games like this ^^
All tough I hated the Souls series, I love all I have seen from Bloodborne, I would love to play that, and The Last Of Us when I get a PS4!
It seems they’ve included those blood effects from Bloodborne into DS3. Or don’t actually remember was it in DS2 already.

Believe it or not Rising, since I was curious how a recent Metal Gear game would be treated on PC, it also gave me hope for Konami to greenlight MGSV on PC if Rising sold well, and it did, and they did kept their word, we didn’t suffer long….we earned it!

is actually really impressive that the phantom pain can run in a 10 years old hardware , im happy that the game overall goes between 20-30 fps. is pretty standard for a non-exclusive ps3 game .

I think it is a bit later. TPP downloading unlocks late evening on 31st at US, in UK September 1st 05:00. So for me it will be around Sept 1st 07:00. With the previous time schedule it was 31st for me.

Hey guys, a lil while back i showed here a short 10 sec finished scene ( maybe some of you saw it ) from a mgs 5 trailer i was making and i was hoping to have it finished but as my house has been getting painted and with work iv havnt been able to get it finished, but… i have managed to 99percent finish another scene, the intro… all coloring, audio, syncing, edits etc are complete and as i wont be able to get done before

When TPP release around the world on Sep 1st. For the first week it is allowed to talk about the intro scenes, and maybe a little further (Kaz rescue?). But it’s a long game, so for the first week it’s not allowed to talk about everything here. Some play the game slower and we don’t want the later parts like ending spoiled. Wanna give everyone a chance.
And well…not sure how many even come here chatting during the first week lol. But I just wanted to inform of this.
