Bloody Snake on MGSV: The Phantom Pain pictures by Kojima
Kojima is once more playing through Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to check for things that need fixing. He shared some more pictures, this time of Snake’s uniform being completely covered in blood.
“Blood all over him in result of being shot too much.”
“Taking a break in the chopper hovering around.”

I do love the amount of blood tpp adds in, it makes the damage show more.
It seem like another (played-like-a-fiddle) incident will happen to Big Boss in TPP

Really cool feature as TPP will be dark so it fits :). Reminds me of Nuclear trailer beginning where Snake was covered in blood.
MGS is one of the rare gems in gaming, that give me lot of joy, sorrow, pain,fear,fury and epic end to remember ;D.

There is no limit to TPP hype my friend, don’t worry :). It is the only game that has made me watch trailers and demos of it almost every day for 2 years lol, so if I gotta be careful of my hype then it is way too late already for that haha :D.

While that could be a hallucination of Volgin, and most likely is, I realized that someone else might fit that description…Python from Portable Ops. It’d be interesting to see if Kojima addresses Portable Ops in The Phantom Pain. Python also wears a sneaking suit. Its a long shot, given that the “Burning Man” has a coat similar to Volgin and his suit underneath is also reminiscent of Volgin’s.
I know but lets be honest.. every inch of that burning guy SCREAMS VOLGIN. I dont even understand why people had to think so hard on who he was when they initially released that trailer. As for me, The second I saw that, i jumped from my seat screaming “VOLGIN” at my computer. After playing MGS3 the amount of times I have, you can tell volgin from a crowd of 1000 people with your eyes closed xD
Portable opps will be addressed but my guess is that that part is for Null.. AKA gray fox 🙂
As for the hallucination, Yeah.. no doubt that that burning guy doesnt really exist.. plus points to that theory when we see Mantis 10 seconds later.. but I’d Still like to battle it out with Volgin in the FOX ENGINE! Just one more time! 😀
I’d like to know how they’re going to follow up the boss fights of Snake vs The Boss from MGS3 and the fist fight with Liquid Ocelot in MGS4. The Peace Walker battle was intense as well, but not like the MGS3 or MGS4 fights.
True that but That was the psp.. that hardware is not powerful at all. So considering that this is being made for consoles will probably be 20times the size if Peace walker in terms of GBytes.. plus PW didnt have all that of a CQC system to handle a proper boss fight that was 1v1. Although, I do think it did amazing by itself.. the peacewalker battle and then the Zeke battle.. everything was awesome for a handheld.. actually it broke the barrier for handheld.. it pushed psp to it’s limits..
And plus considering all that we’ve seen from trailers, gameplays and GZ.. The boss fights will be EPIC. EEEEPPIICC.

I love dark time in MGSV, well it looked fantastic in GZ with stormy rain and can’t wait to see it fully in TPP. I’m a ninja and move in shadows during night >;).
My main and first objective: 1. Get the weather changing device.

Also wouldnt that be awesome.. yeah it may be too gruesome for some people but to me, it just adds depth to Big Boss.. a blood splatter on on his face from his enemy’s body.. that would be amazing because it adds to the villian big boss is becoming.. i hope he (kojima san) isnt going to shy away from dripping blood! Do it Kojima San!
So the blood shows on the chopper when chillin’ and partying with Quiet + when moving around I guess. But I wonder if it shows during cutscenes, that would be pretty cool too :).
I wonder if we need to manually clean or goes away after few minutes, I’ll probley just sit in the flying helicopter while raining for a few hours cause it feels cool

I’m guessing the sniper rifle next to the seats is either Quiet’s or for Snake to choose a weapon before he dismounts from the chopper to start the mission.

What if MGSV had a zombies co-op mode? Yes or no?
I read yesterday on n4g some “zombies in mgsv?” article, and I hope there won’t be. So many games have them already. But who knows what Kojima adds to the game :).
Co-op could be fun though.
Sort of like Nazi Zombies in Call of Duty. Maybe not zombies, but a co-op, round based, survival game mode.
That kind of co-op might be nice yeah, although I usually play games for singleplayer experience. Sometimes co-op or mp, depends on the game. But as TPP will have MB and MGO multiplayer, might as well put that kind of mode maybe :D.
I haven’t really played CoD much so dunno how they did the zombies in them.
Pretty simple really. You shoot the zombies, that gives you points, you use points to buy guns or upgrades and open doors to access more sections of a map, and if you get hit enough you die.
if MGSV has zombies, they would be in the form of child soldiers. We are supposed to be shocked right? well theres your controversy. Killing herds of African children (with guns) for diamonds. They drop diamonds and ammo when they die. .. Or you could just tranq them, or Fulton them.
its kinda zombies eventually get almost invincible and they pull cheap 2 hit death moves, not much of a fan of it
God please no. I believe Kojima is more original than that. I’m tired of the zombies since the 90′
I think RE:Code Veronica in 2000 or RE1 Remake was the last game where a truly enjoyed zombies. Then they started to spam them too much imo. I do enjoy playing the old games and REmake again, it’s because of survival horror with zombies.
Maybe like a survival mode then, like in Advanced Warfare, without the exo’s of course. I use Call of Duty as a reference because that’s really the only game I’ve played with zombies.
I’m 100% certain there will not be zombies (at least in the traditional sense) in MGSV.

I think these are side quest POW’s that you can kill or resque in the game like with Glatz and Palitz from GZ. They are not only there but at the heli’s ceiling too. I’m guessing that player will be given a small information about these soldiers and all of their faces wll be different and player can resque these special POW’s or kill these criminals in the game. When mission will be complete the photo will disappear.
There could be many possibilities.. ive been thinking about them from the day the initial helicopter pictures were posted. It could be POWs, or Snake’s men in trouble who need to be helped in the field, or his side targets to kill or capture for interrogation or it could just be a simple easter egg

I don’t like to kill people in metal gear games. I always do my best to avoid that.
But maybe in this game we should do that in some missions.
I only don’t like to kill people in metal gear games because you get the best points that way. It seems you always get punished for killing, when I really want to kill. Heres to hoping TPP doesn’t punish you for killing, even now that it seems every mission has a ranking system.
Probably Big Boss’ discent into madness allows us to kill more people and not getting punished
Yea I did notice in one of the gameplay demos, they killed a couple of guys.. went in alert, called an air strike and still got S rank. So idk.. here’s to hoping it stays like that.
but in another gameplay he got 3 kills and 1 alert getting a c, still in that airstrike one he got 16 kills
Same here, I always prefer stealth rather than rambo. But sometimes I try other ways.
in gz it was a bit tough since enemies hit you from everywhere endlessly

Welcome. I have diagnosed your issue from the mere post you posted. 15 years of experience comes handy in cases as such. What pain you are suffering is called Phantom pain.
Phantom pain sensations are described as perceptions that an individual experiences relating to a game that is not physically part of his/her life. Game loss is a result of either removal of the game by its disc being destroyed or simply not been given the release date or demo.
But y no release date after 2 years … it doesn’t make sense

I was born 1990 raised watching my older bro playing the original metal Gear Solid n followed the series ever since. my only regret is not playing the first Metal Gear Online on PlayStation2. I love playing Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops plus it was very addicting . I cannot get over the memories I have of recruiting soldiers, I cannot stop thinking about how people use hack soldiers with S3 stats in every skill to play online. I hate hackers n i kno lord kojima hates them too. That’s probably y he shut down the servers to mgo2 :'( . I’m in pain , constant pain. N i wish I cud meet kojima himself n make him sign my mgs4 game case n take a picture with me . Thats my life goal at the moment .
