Custom match options will allow you to play Metal Gear Online matches ranging from 1v1 to 8v8 players
Some new details regarding the options for player numbers have been announced via the official Metal Gear Online Twitter account.
I have some good news this morning for fans of custom matches and additional options. After some deliberation, and thanks to your input, we have implemented a custom match option that allows for additional player numbers. When playing a custom match, you can select 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5, 6v6, 7v7, and 8v8 # of players.
A couple of questions that were asked on Twitter were answered as well, providing some further details. The setting for normal matches is 6v6 or 8v8. As you can see, the custom match options only offer even numbers of players on each side, as that is what the game is designed around. Furthermore, the game only supports real players, so there are no options for bots at this moment.

I’m sure MGO will be fantastic, but to be honest I’m not much of a multiplayer gamer. I might check it out but I doubt I’ll put much time into it. Same thing happened with GTA Online.

I know, I’m pretty much the same usually with games. I tried to play GTA Online for a while and leveled up to 60 or something, but it was just soooo boring. Heists finally released I think? After 1-2 years but no more interest to try it.
I believe this MP will be different though or wait, I KNOW it will be. I never got to play the other MGO much :).
believe me the heists are worth it! but if u have no friends to play with, of course it won’t be as much fun. particularly in GTA’s case. and in all games who offer multiplayer.

I’m the same way. I never got into multiplayer games. I just like story driven games too much and don’t see any entertainment(for me) to repeatedly play a confined area trying to kill other players. Once they do a MP experience when the end goal was not getting xp from killing other nameless soldiers and have a point to them. I will be on board with it. Kind of like Journey. The multiplayer was unique in that people had a common goal and they could help each other, or part ways and walk their own path.

same here man but mgo2 was different only multiplayer game spend hours and played until servers down hopefully mgo3 gonna be same
MGO was my first online multiplayer game. Every other game I’ve played online, I’ve compared it to MGO. I think it was done perfectly. Nothing ever matched up to it. Uncharted 2/3 multiplayer came slightly close.. but I never played it deeper. The Last of Us came even closer.. some modes felt a lot like TSNE.. only thing that kept me from enjoying it more was the sluggish controls. I hate it. Nothing was as fluent as your character in MGO. I dont play FPS games so I only look forward to TPS.

TPP is the one I have waited for such long time as I have always enjoyed SP games more, but I’ll still try MGO at some point. Will be amazing and fun experience for sure :D.

but seriously.. we all know people only used 1v1 matches to boost in MGO.. lol. I loved and hated that level system at the same time. I hope they keep it but not make it so damn easy to delevel. Highest level I ever made was lvl 15. alternated between 13 and 14. Other than that, I never really cared for level as long as I had TSNE. 16player TSNE clusterfuck here we come!!

Them People need Counter strike to discipline them. hehe I’ve never raged while playing games.. not even multiplayer.. when i was 12 i remember a guy who was so good at Counter strike that he’d take my head off in a split second. I just got better playing with them pros. Instead, nowdays you see 12-18 year olds screaming and crying over loosing 1-20 😛

u have to play the singleplayer first in order to play multiplayer. like when mother base infiltration will be introduced in the story it will open up to the multiplayer experience we know as MGO 3.

It would be very cool if they implemented some smart bots though.Maybe a 1v1 mode with bots on each team? Either way,they would have to make some seriously good AI for that to work though,just a thought.
It shouldn’t be hard to do it. On Killzone for PS2, you can play against bots, even on CoD: Black Ops, and in hard mode, they are pretty hard!
Also, it would be great to practise, for example,with the mini metal gear, cause is a thing that maybe you’re not able to use very often, and when you do, you don’t gonna want to ruin it.
It could be a great option… or a training mode… like the Ground Zeroes is for The Phantom Pain.
I loved Black Ops bots because,believe it or not,we did not have any internet so as you could imagine,playing with bots was or only hope.And to this day,with internet,I still love to play with bots.

Rockstar Games is that Publisher/Developer, they are rich as Fukk, and there is chemistry between the Houser Brothers and Kojima, they respect each other, they innovated the Gaming Industry, The Houser Brothers created the Open World Concept, and Hideo Created Stealth.

Ground Zeroes was iDroid, it just wasn’t a game with all of that stuff in it. Phantom Pain will have the rest though.

It does seem A LOT more responsive then Demon/Dark Souls, looks like what the Souls series should have been from the beginning.
well it depends what you like…if you like action/reflex exploding gameplay Bloodborne is for you..if you like medieval hack and slash style then dark souls/demons souls is for you…but all of those games were superb…
I’d rather say that i like Games that don’t have delay from hitting the hit button, to the actual hit, and a Game that doesn’t punish you for opening a chest, and doesn’t take half or all of your life or all, all of the sudden for no reason.
Therefore from what i have seen, i don’t just prefer Bloodborne, but actually like it, and buy it once i find a Solid enough reason to get a PS4…or when it drops on Steam, either way i like what i see.

Well I did read some post about that, maybe 1 hour ago. It has some kind of similar coop like Souls games, I think need to be in same area for it to work and require some item.
But I didn’t want to read too much of the post ;). I’ve always enjoyed using the shield in Souls games, but BB gameplay is quite different so will be interesting to see how long I can survive without deaths.
I remember in Dark Souls 2 I died in maybe 10 minutes lol, but it was because fell down a cliff :D. Anyway, I wish every brave soul who step into Bloodborne good luck!

I’m stoked as hell for this game!! Been watching various fights against the Cleric Beast and I keep getting more excited! I might just dump Dark Souls and move on to this, wish I could have finished that though.
Also, from the videos I’ve watched, although everybody says otherwise, it seems like Bloodborne is easier than Dark Souls. It probably is still hard as hell but many things make it look more comfortable like the fact that you can hold a bunch load of blood vials, you can sell items, and now the character moves faster.
If you ever try finish Dark Souls, you should definitely play the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Trust me it is one of the BEST DLC imo that has ever been released :). So challenging and cool.
Mmm maybe I should have gotten the Prepare to Die edition then. This game is really long though so let’s hope I first of all finish the main game lol. Anyway, I was able to beat the Gaping Dragon today 😀 that shit was intense!!!

Anglo saxon countries usually have similarities, specially in northern Europe, Canada, USA, Australia, etc. But things common here in ‘Western World’ are extremely differents in Japan, for example (and viceversa).

The announcement of custom matches is a huge start for what we want. Lets make sure we keep showing them love and push our wants on them. For those who will complain about 1v1 or whatever understand that people like different pace so the freedom is good regardless. Having a option is better than not having any.

Yo! Got Bloodborne Collector’s Edition.
The Collector’s Edition is weak, The box is exactly the same size as the game and there’s a mini book inside as well steelbook and DLC soundtrack(which can’t be played offline).
So basically i payed $20 more for a weak edition :
I don’t mind it since i want to give From Software/SCEJ some money, but damn they really should have made the edition better than we got.
I think EU has the best editions since i know US and JPN edition are similar(artbook is blue if i remember correctly)

I’m still not buying it, but they were always on time with Kojima station. Mmmmm, plot intensifies!
I think it would be cool to have some options for asymmetrical multiplier, I know it’s a bit difficult to do as a custom game option, because balancing is something better left to a dedicated game mode. But I think it would be a blast if we could set up a 1V8 match where the solo player is loaded up with top of the line gear, and the 8 opponents (all with 1 life.) had to work together to cover each other’s asses, while the solo player worked to ether pick them off one by one, or to sneak in past their defenses and steal something. So basically team sneaking, but with one stealth badass against a group.
