English spoken Kojima Station not coming back in its current form
For a while, Kojima Station was available in both English and Japanese, with the English side being hosted by Sean Eyestone, Ken Mendoza, Chris Johns and Ludvig Forssell. However, we haven’t seen a new English spoken episode in quite a while, and now it seems like the show in its current state has been discontinued.

This was reported by MGN on Twitter, citing Konami employees @ToraShir0 and @InstallBase as sources. Yuichi (@InstallBase) clarified that the show isn’t gone completely:
“Clarification: Not coming back in the form as you have known it. We are working on it but have no news as to if or when.”
We will have to wait to find out what this means exactly.

Saw it once, it was complete trash. So no real loss here. They should just work on putting english subs on the main show instead.
They did say some interesting things every now and then. Subs for the Japanese episodes would be great, but it’s probably too much work.
Feels like it’s less work than having 2 shows though.
Hopefully it will happen.
I sorta saw it once.. I don’t have time to sit and watch a youtube video for over an hour. I preferred the audio podcasts.. preferably the ones before MGS4, with that guy named Ryan
This, I used to listen to then over work while doing my daily stuff, so since they switched to video, It feels like I’m missing tons of updates lol
That’s to bad it was a fun show, we never got any big announcements or anything but I liked all the guys on the show and had a lot of fun watching. They will probably just do a few podcasts before the game releases now.
I downloaded every episode and fast forwarded to important bits only
never watched an full episode. only the important parts of gameplay ‘n stuff. for me, no loss at all. basically all i really want is just one thing: release date of MGS V.

Anyway, seriously the release date is the one thing I want. There’s not many things, that I’ve wanted to see SO bad as the TPP RD lol.
Ok usually those things aren’t that funny but that one made me laugh a lot, I was also about to go to sleep and not it’s gonna be a bit harder so thanks a lot. The end part was sarcasm I know it’s hard to see in text sometimes

They do this every time they have any sort of news cast. They did it with the Kojima Productions Report, the KP Alert, and Now Koji Station. They always start out strong and then after a couple months, they just stop doing them, and I expected as much with this.
One time they were arguing on who would win in a fight between Batman and Big Boss. (Just after talking about Grey fox and stuff) then Forsell argued “Well after all, isn’t big boss a ninja ?” and the other guys laughed with an embarassed smile without saying a word. That fed the Punished snake = Grey fox trolls pretty well. PREASE BY EXCITE.
The only redeemable thing about the English Kojima Station is that interview with Robin Atkin Downes. And even then, they made it very awkward and uncomfortable by the end of it. I mean how many times can you ask a person “how does it feel to be played like a fiddle?” before they want to punch you in the face. If you follow the Japanese Kojima Station, you’re not missing much either, unless you’re fluent in Japanese and love hour long segments about movies, listen to letters sent in by fans and looking at fan art win some stickers. There’s the occasional Hobby corner, Stefanie video and game footage thought.
Well at least the Japanese one you have Kojima and his views in other hobbies like movies.
He also have occasional guests from voice actors like Otsuka, Sugita and the like. And this is where they reveal new gameplay videos etc.
So yeah, i do think JPN version is much better. They should just cancelled the English cast and just translate the Japanese one.
It would be much better than having those 4 goof around and all.
Yup, I’d much rather have subs on the JP KojiSta even if it takes longer and releases on the weekend.
while i did enjoy the english version of KOJIMA STATION it was a bit hard to digest only because everyone would keep talking over each other. and nothing against Ken Mendoza, and shit he knows English, Spanish AND Japanese, but his translations and manner of speaking were hard for me to listen to at times. he’d stutter and “um” quite a lot.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he studied Japanese first and then English. He seems very fluent in Japanese, but I do see him struggle a bit with English. I bet he could do subs way better than try to translate live, like when he translate for Kojima in interviews.
I liked the old podcast, listened to it regularly, but never really got into the English KojiSta. So bring back the podcast for Sean et al, and put english subs on the regular KojiSta and everyone wins
