Full scale bionic arm replica grabs the attention in an official video
For those who want a better look at the 1:1 scale bionic arm, Konami has got you covered. The studio released a video that provided a detailed, up-close look at the item.
The arm is 50 centimeters long and weights 850 grams.
The bionic arm is included in the Japanese Premium Package of the game, which is rather expensive compared to the western collector’s edition due to the much higher production costs of this full sized version. The item is made by Sentinel, who also did several other MGS collectibles in the past (and they are currently working on a model of the new Metal Gear from The Phantom Pain). Recent tweets by Ken Imaizumi seem to suggest that the arm will be available outside Japan. “I believe Sentinel sells their products worldwide.” he said. However, this contradicts earlier statements that the arm won’t be released separately and is only available with the Premium Package of the game. So it could simply be a mistake. Or perhaps Imaizumi is trying to get Sentinel to bring the arm to the western market, if people show there is enough demand for it (similar to how he asked Sony to release the MGSV PS4 globally).

Update: In a response to Ken Imaizumi’s tweet, Sentinel has stated on Twitter that they are considering releasing the full scale arm in the west: “Absolutely! As it’s really a great work, we will consider selling outside Japan as well.”

I think Ken’s statement about the company selling their products outside of japan he was referring actually to seiko watch
If you look at the tweet you can see he is talking about the arm. “SENTINELcoltd did a great job! 1/1arm looks great! I’m sure western people want one too. What do you say?” is what he said in an earlier tweet. Then someone says he wants the arm to come to the US, and Ken responds saying Sentinel sells their products in the US as well. So it does look he’s really referring to the arm.

That arm itself is probably a major reason why we won’t see it this far west. To ship something weighing almost 1kg (and that’s just the arm!) would be so dang expensive. I think that’s the reason we’re getting a smaller arm.

It’s impossible for it to be an Amazon exclusive, when their CE product is tagged for NA, and not only is Canada literally in North America, but theirs pre-orders were already available outside of the online market. Amazon was also slow on the pre-order, which started just 3 days ago. Not to mention Konami literally said they’re waiting for additional retailers in the US.

I agree completley. On a related note, I did call Konami and one of their reps told me it was up to the retailer, and like I told him, a gamestop rep (800 number) told me they would put it online when they heard from the publisher, so they just keep going back and forth on the subject.

Did they not see how quickly Amazon sold out on their pre-orders? Less than 5 hours. Even Konami was taken aback and wrote a tweet thanking the fans. This should be a win/win situation for all parties involved.

But like I said a few times before. Your best bet for now is to go put $25(the minimum for CE Preorders) down on the “Day One Edition”. That way you can -very- quickly move the money to the CE Preorder as SOON as you hear it is available by simply transferring the funds from the Day One Edition to the CE.
It really depends but in many cases you can do the transfer over the phone. Especially if you have a good relationship with the Game Advisor.

Is actually a substance given to people in huge pain, it contains vitamins and strong pain meds, which explains why Snake looks tired, like he is on sedatives…because he is on sedatives.
Don’t know the effect on Gameplay, but i’m glad his pain is part of the Campaign, the focus of the Campaign.

When David was asked if we thinks Hugh Jackman can do the “Snake” Voice, he replied that in a Movie Snake voice should be in the middle ground between Hayter Snake and a normal Voice, that he should be half rough, hald soft.

Yeah, I rushed up to my local GS and the guy said he had just talked to me and told me on the phone they d idn’t have them up yet. I said, well no you do, I just seen it on my cell. I eventually showed him, he clocked out and bought one himself lol. I purchased one there and got my wife to get my collection copy off the site. Looks like I’ll be cancelling that Amazon xbox one copy after all.

I got one too, i had to get in store, only had 25$ in with the day one edition i tanked my saves, It was so worth it. Literally it was only available for 4 hours, my gamestop sold 6 aprox. I checked the webstore and reddit 20 mnts after i left the store, and it was all gone.

I heard that we received info, about what questions was in the DH interview. Too bad my box question wasn’t in it , oh well I’m still glad few from MGI was asked :D.
So my plan is simple. I dont understand Japanese so thou I want the premium or special editions, I grabbed the collectors edition online and just to have copy release date pre-ordered a physical copy at my local Gamestop. If the full arm ever releases separately I will get that someday. Collectors offers all the DLC so its good enough.
I hope this huge arm releases separately in near future, so can add it to my CE smaller arm to stand on the edge of my gaming table :).

I went to gamestop already , I paid it in full, the collectors edition, Just a heads up, IS ONLY ONLINE you can paid for it in the store and arrange for them to receive it at that store, but also you can send it to your home, also YOU HAVE TO PAY IT IN FULL because they will not have them at the store for preorder so you can’t just leave 25$ you have to pay all the 99$ in one sitting. Im so fuc*ing happy to have one .

Not sure about gamestop return. Once its open price drops super low. Once collectors edition comes i will lend mgsv day one to a friend who never player. Or family member. So they can play the greatest game ever made.
The pre orders are online atleast at the game stop I went to. You also have to pay the full thing since it is online. Holy shit I cannot wait for it to arrive on my doorstep.

They said they would call the customer care themselves on the spot and have the shipping method updated (after paying, of course), with a newly printed receipt confirming the shipment change. I would encourage to do it sooner, rather than later, as they’ve also claimed they can’t do it weeks before the game launches. I haven’t done it yet, but I aim to get it done later today when they open.

Upgrade your shipping method, and have it received at your store instead of home. That’s what I plan on doing. You’re paying way too much money to not be rewarded via playing it on launch.

There is something that really bothers me. It’s about Kaz. Weeks before the Shadow Moses incident he helped alaskan scouts with training according to Codec conversations in MGS 1. He also helped Solid Snake practise CQC.
We al now kaz lost limbs durning PP. How can he be so active decades later without a few of he’s limbs? Another retcon? Or will Kojima explain it in the game?
Maybe he will explain it in the game :), but I’ve thought that Kaz can still somehow train Solid to learn CQC even if he lost the limbs. As he is the survivalist trainer etc. Or then he gets some sort of prosthetic later I dunno.
I hope so. I can deal with most of the retcons in the series. They are there to make the overal story better. But if Kojima doesn’t explain it it’s a pretty major one.
Kaz was a instructor of many soldier and among them Solid Snake, so he may have teached the theory of it all recurring to others in order to show how CQC worked.
What about the fact that Dr. Clarck is refereed as a “he” in MGS1 and later we know that Dr.Clark is Paramedic. The exact words are “He died in an explosion” said by Naomi while she is explaining that the ninja is Frank Jaeger, that is the only mistake that ever bugged me in MGS history.
Mmmm I’m pretty ok with that. But what about the whole survial specialist thing?
i really don’t know the contents of that kind of training but since Kaz and Big Boss fall apart, Kaz may have feared that Big Boss would go after him so he goes to remote locations and has to undergo specialized training because of the missing limbs.
Another explanation is a arm and leg transplant, Ocelot get one in MGS2 so it is possible that the technology already exists by the time Kaz starts training Snake
Or Kojima just forgot about that one Codec line about scouts. XD I think it’s a great idea though to express the torture he and Big Boss are going through. The monologue in the Red Band trailer allong with the Donna Burkes voice was jaw dropping. So powerful.
That was always an issue from the start. Kojima by making characters transitioning from game to game, accumulates a whole backstory which sometimes comes from little details on those codec conversations.
The fact that there are so little inconsistencies in the story, character’s backstory and details is truly amazing adding the fact of the time between games which makes remembering lines of dialog with little details for each character a truly wonder on Kojima’s part. Having this said when it comes to Kojima and story holes i like to think that Kojima doesn’t explain every detail in order to let us imagine what could have happened.
As for the torture thing I’m really exited to see Big Boss slipping into the dark side, while Kaz maintains his principles and values even tough he looks much more angry than Big Boss xD
That being said let’s not forget that MG trailers are often misleading. With the ones of MGS 2 as the best examples.

Tranlation issue. In japanese, 彼 kare is a neuter third person pronoun. I’ve read somewhere that’s why it was presumed Dr. Clark was male.

In all fairness, anything Miller said in Shadow Moses, wasn’t him at all.
And even if that is the case; beyond that; his condition doesn’t disqualify him from being active with providing support and information on survival techniques, or guidance to overcome obstacles. Look at MGSV for example, he’s still active. He is still Big Boss’s sub-commander within Diamond Dogs. There’s nothing suggesting that he isn’t allowed to help out soldiers if he can’t provide physical demonstration.

Sto aspettando risposte da un mio amico che lavora al gamestop ma ancora niente, do una guardata al sito ogni giorno nella speranza che inizino con gli ordini. Stanno andando a ruba queste CE, amazon viene “svuotato” in un batter d’occhio ogni volta che ne mette altre disponibili.
Se non si fanno vivi quelli di gamestop non saprei a che santo votarmi. 🙁
