Ground Zeroes: PS4 retail version might come to the west, no limited edition for XB1 in Japan, launch info coming very soon
Steven Key, European brand manager for Kojima Productions, provided some interesting bits of information regarding the retail versions of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
Many people were disappointed Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes wouldn’t be getting a retail release for next-gen consoles, but it seems this isn’t yet set in stone. We already know Japan will be getting a retail release, in the form of multiple editions no less, and after several people asked Steven Key (European brand manager for Kojima Productions) about a retail version (and collector’s edition) for Ground Zeroes on PlayStation 4, he gave the following answers:
@nazihfares @KonamiUK We’re working on the European editions at the moment. We’ll make an announcement when we have more info.

@animeblog_de @KonamiUK We’ll do our best to make this happen, more updates soon.

Interestingly enough, he also confirmed the Japanese limited edition of the game isn’t coming to Xbox One:
@jpgames_de We haven’t announced any Special Editions in Europe yet, that’s all! Limited Edition in Japan isn’t on Xbox One.

Someone asked about a PC version of the game:
@nerfdurf Sorry, there’s no info on that at the moment. I’ll update as soon as I know more. Thanks.

Lastly, Steven Key assured that full announcements on the release of the game are coming ‘very soon’:
@yousefalhussa We’ll have full announcements about the release very soon – sorry I can’t tell you more.

@blackoni6 Sorry – I only look after Europe, so I don’t know about the US team. I’m sure they’ll be trying though.
