Hideo Kojima to be at The Game Awards 2015?
Will Hideo Kojima be making an appearance this Thursday at The Game Awards 2015?
The Game Awards are produced by Geoff Keigley, who knows Kojima personally and worked with him several times before, including the Joakim Mogren interview for MGSV. A couple of weeks ago it was revealed Kojima would once again be on the advisory board of this year’s Game Awards (notice how they added ‘Kojima Productions’ below his name, where it was just his name a few weeks ago). Furthermore, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been nominated in four categories, including game the year, and Kojima Productions for developer of the year.
Last year, Kojima appeared on stage (after an introduction by Kiefer Sutherland) to provide a first look at Metal Gear Online. Many are wondering if he will make an appearance on this year’s show, especially after all the rumors surrounding his supposed departure from Konami (apparently he already left in October and his contract is said to have ended this month, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet).
During a livestreamed Periscope Q&A session, someone asked Keighley wether we will see Kojima at the show. Geoff answered as follows:
That’s a great question. Lots of debate and discussion about that over the past few weeks. Stay tuned. We hope to have clarity on that shortly, but I’ve been talking to Hideo and we hope that he’ll be able to be a part of the celebration.
Update: Geoff Keighley just announced that just like last year, Kiefer Sutherland will be present at the show as well (more than likely this has something to do with his role in Metal Gear Solid V).
Donna Burke (singer for Sins of the Father / Heavens Divide and the voice of the iDroid) and Stefanie Joosten (Quiet) will also be in LA to attend the show.
The Game Awards take place this Thursday (December 3rd) at 8:30 ET.

Yeah, it is known for like 1-2 months, that he will be there. Strange article.
It wasn’t clear whether he was going to be there in person. Kojima hasn’t made any media appearances since March.

In all cases, Kiefer is probably there because Hideo has to receive something, otherwise he won’t attend IMO.
I don’t know, I was there last year and he really seemed to enjoy himself around industry devs. He didn’t really need to be there either, they were just announcing MGO.
Chances are indeed extremely high since when VGA published the nominees a month ago, along with confirming Hideo’s presence in the board (most important, under KP !). However of course, we won’t be 100% sure until one of his legendary pranks live, or through few leaks in-between…

Well, according to the rumors is contract ends in December, but it wasn’t any more specific than that.

Something else, few days ago, in a video from Donna and Stefanie they were clearly stating, besides their awesome jokes, that they were takin off to LA for that. I hardly imagine Stef and Donna there without Hideo at some point, or at least remotely from Japan. I am sure he’ll be around the girls (my take) ! No news about HK current location, he should be in LA yet (lets hope).

If something is announced in regards to more content, the haters will be out in force, if no more content is announced……..the haters will be out in force – basically, they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
Can’t really understand, why to hate, if they announce more content. It’s like…the biggest demand? I would be really glad, if they make something. Cause right now I find this game’s replayability somewhere around zero. All that sandbox, ways to approach. I found the most efficient way, got all my S-ranks, and doing all that stuff with capturing a soldier and surrounding him with decoys – that’s fun to watch like 1-2 times, but that’s not for me. All those bonus objectives are lifeless, no interest in doing them all. Same goes for side ops. Doing 4-5 in a row, returning to ACC and again. Can’t I just do all 10-15 missions at the same time. It is just grinding now. All those 7-8 grade’s weapons are too far away down the fulton grinding path, and FOB’s are fun like the first 2-3 times. Really need either more story, or more ways to play.

They’ll hate anyway, just forget about them. Either they’ll hate V because they loved it but they wanted more, either they’ll hate it just because they won’t admit they were wrong.
Kojima has the balls to make bold moves wich are subject to hate.
He always managed to keep his own ideas as raw as possible. This authenticity often triggers both love to some receptive audience and hatred to the less receptive one.
One of the side effects of arts is that the more you create something original, deeper will be the emotions of the audience, whether positive or negative. Like reaching / violating very intimate areas of our emotions.

Well, I’m not Nyx but I live close to the Dutch border in germany and even I understood most of it. Since Afrikaans derives from Dutch it has very similar sounds and even whole phrases.
Afrikaans is a nice mix of Dutch, English and Gibberish. Most of it is fairly easy to understand for Dutchies.

MGO3’s customization is not the greatest. You literally have to choose from like 3 – 5 different types of gear and a few colors.

Well that was back in 2008. Not many people played online games on consoles back then and of course they couldn’t put such effort in something they were not sure people were going to like/dislike. MGO3 was released in 2015. 2015. 7 years later. A lot of people play these games now and you all know how excited the MGS’ fans were about MGO3 and they should have added much much more things to the game that the community did tell them what they wanted to see in the game. I’m no game developer and I don’t know how hard it is to make such things, but I’m sure they could’ve done it.
Also please don’t hate me for just keep hitting the same “MGO3 sucks” button.
