Info on Metal Gear Rising in-store promotion in Japan
Promotions for the release of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance next month in Japan have kicked off. Everyone who plays the demo and posts his impressions of Facebook or Twitter, will receive a free dowloadable skin of MGS4 Raiden to use in the game. Additionally, Konami will be holding a lottery where participants can win one of the 20 MG Rising t-shirts, one of the 5 action figures or the main prize, a limited edition Metal Gear Rising themed watch by Wired, designed by Yoji Shinkawa.
A special campaign site will be launched January 18, and the promotions will end February 28.
Also, several Japanese stores will participate in an event where you can play a demo at the store. If you manage to defeat Ray within the time limit, you’ll receive two double-sided posters (there is one for Rising and one for the 25th Anniversary and Ground Zeroes), as well as 10 ‘MGR Tissue Characterization cards’. If you pre-order the game, you will receive a Metal Gear Rising ‘Boot Camp t-shirt’.
The two double sided posters.
The schedule for the participating stores can be found on the official Japanese MGR site.
