Kojima discusses differences between current gen and next gen MGSV
In an interview with Eurogamer at the TGS 2013, Kojima talked a bit about the differences between the current and next gen versions of Metal Gear Solid V.
Once again, he stated that with the current gen versions the aim is 30 frames per second, while the next gen versions will run at 60 fps.
However, due to the nature of the development process, people shouldn’t expect miracles from the next gen versions.
“This game was originally developed for multiple platforms, multiple devices and multiple generations. Fox Engine was created with the current generation in mind. Maybe with other games that are being created exclusively for next-gen it might look a little behind.”
Having said that, Kojima ensured there will still be a noticeable difference.
“Of course for the next generation the resolution and the lighting will look much better. Gameplay wise it will be the same – we’re trying to make it as close as possible. The gameplay experience won’t be affected whether it’s next gen or current gen.”

It’s going to be interesting to see what Kojima can make exclusively for Next Gen Consoles.
Yes, then we’re probably going to see a real difference. But for now, these graphics are good enough for me!
Was the demo running at 60 fps? I couldn’t tell but maybe it was because of the feed.
I don’t know, the next gen versions will be 60 fps but maybe the demo wasn’t ready for that yet.
It was in 60 frames per second on TGS large screen. But !
you can’t tell if it was in 30 or 60 because youtube or Gamespot can’t produce videos more than in 30 frames per second.
so i guess i was right….the only real difference will be FPS….(dont feel left out now with PS3 version ) XD
And lighting and resolution. But yeah, it won’t be that much of a difference, probably.
i prefer PS4 version 😀
60FPS and maybe 1080p 🙂
