Kojima holding a meeting for a ‘super confidential project’
Today, this mysterious message appeared online on Kojima’s Japanese and English Twitter, about a ‘super confidential project meeting’ that was being held at Kojima Productions.
“Kojima Production SUPER CONFIDENTIAL PROJECT’s experiment presentation & meeting.”
At this point there is no way of knowing what this is about, but interesting nonetheless.

They haven’t even finished with MGSV which is a massive project, and now they are working on something else? How can they keep it together?

Last time Kojima announced a “super confidential project” (Ogre), it was MGSV. 🙂
ZONE GEAR METAL ENDERS CONFIRMED. Solid Snake will pilot Jehuty to protect humanity. Dammit, this is probably a sane idea for Hideo.
Actually I take that back. We can’t trust Kojima, his idea of an “industry shaking” announcement was a skin for MGSV. This is probably something lame like MGS Touch 2 :/
It wasn’t just a skin, but I agree he overhyped that announcement quite a bit.
Still cracks me up, I wonder why they thought it was a good idea to hype that announcement up so much. If they said nothing about it and just announced it like that on the show it’d be a nice little surprise, instead of a massive disappointment
I think they just overestimated how enthusiastic people would be about it. But it kind of backfired. Now people are saying it’s only a skin, which is also not the case. But this is probably because they made it sound like much more.

This better be ZOE3 or a Metal Gear with Gray Fox as protagonist
I vote for the latter. A game featuring The Boss would be nice as well, as Kojima has been talking about.
Hell yeah! I would love that! Invading normandy with the cobra unit, the boss giving birth to Ocelot, calling in mortar strikes to destroy v2 rockets! sounds great!

You’re right, but still. But they should think about it! Maybe it’s about MGR:2, maybe it’s about a new IP, maybe they’re brainstorming about any plans for the future like CGI movies or something.
How about a multiplayer Metal Gear Rising sequel with Raiden as Player 1 and Blade Wolf as Player 2? Or the original Rising? Or Gray Fox trying to escape Area 51 in a Resident Evil like base while battling the Patriots various experiments including nano-machined-powered zombies and solving action- oriented puzzles.
A sequel to Rising could be interesting.

-Metal Gear game starring The Boss
-Metal Gear game starring Gray Fox
-Metal Gear Rising 2
-Original Metal Gear Solid: Rising
-Snatcher/Policenauts HD Collection (I don’t care if Policenauts doesn’t have a dub, I’ll play the game with subtitles if I have to)
A remake of the original Metal Gear games (about Solid Snake infiltrating Outer Heaven and such) is probably at the top of my list.
Kojima said he never wants to do that because they were a product of that time.
Yeah, he also said he would have to rewrite them and he doesn’t feel like doing that. But still, personally I think it could be awesome.
Actually, how about since Snatcher costs like a million dollars now and Policenauts is a Japan exclusive. We get a new game unrelated to Metal Gear. I love Metal Gear as much as the next guy. But Kojima hasn’t really made any other games besides MG (excluding the ones mentioned above).
People always forget Boktai, which is a shame because these games are really awesome.

Sorry, I mean like directed or wrote. He had as much involvement in Boktai that he did in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Am I the only one that doesn’t wanna play as gray fox I mean I think he is a good character but he is nowhere near as interesting as the three main protagonists. Besides we already have a cyborg ninja to play as now.
I’d rather play Fox as a human than cyborg. Him cyborg, however, won’t be over the top like Rising (which I thought was a blast btw) I think. Fox could have interesting plots if Kojima & his team wishes so. A human Fox would be awesome. Faster more agile than Big Boss. The Perfect Soldier.. It would be epic!
It could be an interesting playing as human gray fox, it could be set when big boss is a little older and he could be over the radio maybe with kaz sending fox on the missions boss usually would have handled. It could make an interesting game but still I have just never felt like playing as him.
You will be playing as Fox as a human in MGS 5. Punished Snake is Frank Jaeger acting as a decoy for Big Boss.

I feel it has to do with the Metal Gear Solid 1 remake
It’s not necessarily a new game. It’s probably something related to MGSV in some form.
It’s most likely something related to mgs5 they wouldn’t start a new project right now and if it is a new game Kojima will probably just be producer since he isn’t done with mgs5. If you look at it another way though maybe he is very close to finishing mgs5 and is just getting his some of his staff to start gathering ideas for another game.

… I’m guessing that what ever this Classified project is that it’ll end up being 2 different DLC variations of The Outer Heaven Uprising the 1st to stay within the established timeline and the 2nd freeing itself of a clone saga.
