Kojima receives sample of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater novel
Today Kojima received some samples of the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater novel, set for release on January 25th.
The author of the book is Hasegawa Satoshi, Japanese science fiction writer. The band comment is written by Kojima himself.

This is unrelated I dont know if anyone is a fan of super smash bros but if anyone is how much of a chance do you think snake has of making it into the next game

Snake is my favourite character in the ssbb roster. I used to play ssbb with friends before we went into town, but we decided to exclude the game and included partygames like mario kart a , because I kick too much ass with Snake.
I know the feeling I’m much better then all of my friends and they are the kind of people that hate it when I’m better then them at something so it’s pretty funny brawl is actually one of my favourite games
Yeah, it can be fun at times, but people will become really competitive after a while. Mainly because I’m the type of guy who starts the competitiveness in the first place. Then there’s the smash ball… Let we just say that it isn’t a nice scenery: swearing, friends deliberately nudging me when I try to aim with the grenade launcher,calling names to eachother,but it never gets old.
You know what the worst part is? I always play with the wii controller (horizontally without the nun-chuck) and my friends played it with the GC controllers. I’m horrible in sportsgames, though.
It would be a shame if they have Sonic returning but not Snake.
Nintendo probably wouldn’t be able to afford Kiefer Sutherland’s salary.
If he’s still based on MGS2’s Snake, they could get Hayter.
It’s not whether Hayter is willing to return as Snake for Smash Bros. or not, but whether KojiPro would allow it or even wants to. They didn’t even bring Hayter back to dub the Hebidamashi sword for Metal Gear Rising (opting to remove the weapon from the English versions instead), probably because KP were already planning on replacing him in MGSV by that point and didn’t want him to know.
I think they just chose not to release the sword outside of Japan because it would be too complicated and cost too much.
Hayter would have flew in to LA on his accord and done it for peanuts if he was given the opportunity, considering his attachment to the MGS series and the Snake character. KojiPro didn’t because they wanted to avoid having an awkward conversation as much as possible.
Hayter: “Thanks for bringing me back to voice this DLC thing for Metal Gear Rising. I heard you guys are already working on the next Snake game. When are we starting the voice over sessions?”
KP Executive: “Yeah, about that…”
Well, is not like they can use the “we need an actual Hollywood actor because this game uses realistic expresions and subtle face movement” excuse in a game like Smash Bros.
Hayter is a great guy! He used his salary by voicing Snake in TTS to bring a majority of the original cast back to voice their characters.
Yeah, if I ever get the chance to drink a beer with him (probably a glass of scotch for mister Hayter), I would definitely take it!
I would’ve payed good money for that DLC.
I higly doubt Kojima Productions could have that much influence over a Nintendo game, even if it uses Snake. Remember “Twin Snakes”?
Kojima Productions was involved with the productions of TTS.
TTS wouldn’t even exist if kojima disapproved it.
Nintendo is loaded. The Wii U isn’t selling well, but the 3DS is.
Just read an article on ign about how Nintendo won’t meet there goals for the wii u and 3ds this year. Then I read the comments and people are saying it is the end of Nintendo it’s pretty funny how people think Nintendo are gonna die but it won’t happen.
I just saw an article on IGN (don’t know if it’s the same one) in which it said Nintendo could have a similar situation as the Wii U and still survive for 20 years. So no, it’s not going to happen.
How do you mean, if they launch a next gen console and the next gen console flops immediately?

Great article! They should learn from their mistakes and the biggest flaw in Nintendo’s wii u campaign is the absence of proper marketing.
And it’s a big risk to introduce a new exclusive ip in the Nintendo library
these days, but series like F zero and even star fox are too old for this generation of kids between the age of 9 to 19. And there are rumors about a ice climbers reboot for the 3ds. Great strategy, you might ask?
Probably, kid icarus uprising was a great game and the original game had no elaborate plot, so this was a great opportunity to reinvent the series.
Its pretty annoying how a lot of people think Nintendo are going to die I have even seen some articles from game journalists about how they are stepping closer and closer to oblivion. I love Nintendo I think there great it feels like they do whats best for the gamer games like Zelda could make so much money if they released a console one every two years but they wait and put effort into making the game amazing.

they have tons of amazing software, but have shitty hardware as well as clueless about online features, distribution and multiplayer.
Yeah well sonic just got a Nintendo exclusive game he has a very good chance plus who could they get to voice snake. I still have hope Kojima loves the series and worked hard to get snake in brawl so hopefully he does the same this time
Having the Wii Fit Trainer in the game and not Snake would be silly after how much people loved him in Brawl.

I believe that the author of the book passed away,a few years ago. But I’d like to see a graphical novel, not a regular novel.
that would take around 5-6 volumes and not even including the codec conversations.
In other words; pretty much impossible for a small team of artists.
