Kojima shares pictures of the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Premium Package box
Yesterday we got our first look at the Japanese Special Edition for the game, and today Hideo Kojima shared two photos of the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Premium Package, that contains the full scale bionic arm.
MGSV TPP premium package (for Japan) sample that contains 1/1 sized bionic arm has arrived.
Of course many fans, including those outside of Japan would like to own such a neat collector’s item (the US and PAL version both come with a half scale arm replica), but according to producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi there’s a big reason it won’t be released in the west.
However, if we want to see the arm released separately he advices turning to Sentinel, the company making the item.

Because it would be too pricey? It’s bound to be a commercial decision. Anyway, they studied the Western market enough to make the decision that we would only get half-size.

The big reason is wait some time and then sell you the big version.
Big reason? Secret? Bullshit. Shipping full scale arms is just too expensive. Sentinel is in Japan, so Japan gets full scale. Why provide quality shipping, when you can just reduce the thing! “What? Mobile games? Has nothing to do with this.”
I agree. The reason is obvious. GAME UK wasn’t even able to send the CE to the Netherlands.

Some improvements:
Hugely improve engine and graphics.
Takedowns no longer stop time and it’s much more faster and more fluid.
Can now hack remotely without going to the actual device. Shield covers Adam’s body and looks very Ghost in the Shell like feature :O
Hacking terminals have more deadly traps, harder to hack and easy to be detected, menus are very intuitive and weapons can easily be switch from the get go.
Amazing new weapons and your energy battery has been replaced by a bar which is much more longer and can now perform more skills without worrying it empties faster compared to HR.
Adam moves faster, goes to cover faster, Icarus landing is much more faster and deadlier etc.
Having completed Deus Ex HR for 4 times now(I rarely do replay games nowadays). I can safely say they improved ALOT. Just need full third person view and it would be a perfect stealth game alongside MGSV.
DAAAMN!! Shame new Hitman is supposedly episodic content(will wait on full version), but at least we still have tons of stealth games after MGSV The Phantom Pain 😀

Totaly off topic but, who’s going to play TPP on the PS3? You know, not everyone can afford a PS4 (he’s very expensive outside of the U.S) so some of us doesn’t really have a choice. What are your expectations for the game on this plataform.
Im going to be playing it on the X360 and my expectations are pretty good. I mean.. look at GZ .. the game was amazing. A slight pop in issues may occur but Im okay with it, things like that dont effect my experience much as long as the gameplay is good. AND FOR THIS GAME.. IM SURE the gameplay is very good.
But then again, The Fox engine must be more refined by now and the pop in issues may not even be noticeable. Even if they are, it isnt gonig to take away from the experience.
My biggest problem with GZ was that the resolution wasn’t really 720p. People say the game is internally upscaled (i don’t really know what that means). Basically, the game runs at 992×720 rather than 1280×720. If they fix this, and make the game run at proper/native 720p, then i will be the happiest person on my country. The blood texture and jagged graphics are totally NOT PC. I mean, it is pc, but one equivalent to PS3 hardware. They could be lying, but i trust Kojima.

If it was any other person behind the production of this game, then i would be scratching my head. Plus the graphics in the trailer really aren’t that much. I mean, really.
Well the 3D Models, Yes, they looks like PS3, X360, but the Lighting and Post Processing features like Draw Distance look like PS4/X1, so what you saw was a hybrid, is how a Wii U Version of TPP would look like!
I can’t disagree with you on that. The lighting effects do look gorgeous. The draw distance though…I mean, this is a problem even for new generation consoles. Obviously, the best place to play the game (in terms of graphics) is a PC. Still, i hope they do a good job with last gen ports. I know it’s not going to look great but, i hope it’s at least playable. Well, if that was not possible, them they wouldn’t even release the game on last gen, right?

I will. My expectations are that I hope that it doesn’t stall or freeze during gameplay but I’m sure everything will go fine given that the game’s installation takes care of something like that.
I’ll be on PS3 then on PC later on. I expect the same as GZ. A very well optimized game running at 720p/30p I trust KojiPro and the FOX Engine so I think all the features will make it to all consoles.
This is the FOX engine and Kojima, so it won’t effect your gameplay 🙂 the only thing should just be lower frame rate and lower graphics (but everyone still is impressed with the graphics to the point where a lot of elitists did not believe it would come out for that generation despite the games trailer stating so, lol)
So my expectations are, same game, running the same, but at a lower frame rate and graphics. But the 60fps and insane graphics is still something that is coming around to gaming so most people would not even notice NOT having the 60fps and insane graphics, as the norm of the industry is still within the range of the PS3.
I share @noplaceforhayter:disqus sentiment. I first played Ground Zeroes on PS3 before making the switch to the PS4. When I first played it on last gen console, my first reaction was “Holy crap, is this really running on last gen console?” The game still looks great on the PS3 and you’ll still be able to enjoy all that Kojima has to offer.

The gz ps3 version was the worst of the 5 versions. Even the 360 has 30fps all the time, the ps3 has moments with 20. That’s why I decided to buy a ps4. The kojima mission with less than 30 fps trying to not kill no one was very hard.
Anyway off course you will enjoy tpp. The soldiers desappearing happens even in pc.
The only problem for the PS3 version was the pop ins. Soldiers and grass would pop in when you use the binoculars. Graphics is fine though. Kojima has more time to fix up these issues for MGSV: TPP for PS3. So HOPEFULLY there will be minimal or no pop ins for the last generation consoles. 🙂
i like to have my own mp3 playlists & i hate to play in 60 fps. so the ps3 will be my platform of choice 🙂

only thing i can remember is that he said in an interview that he brought a charackter back to life that he had killed before. Guess he doesn´t mean realy “killed” but just removed from the lore.

I have never liked Uncharteds so much for some reason although I would love to enjoy them more. I don’t know is it the waves of enemies that keep coming or something else. I guess not many games to me can give such hype like TPP…
I have played every UC at least once, but for me MGS games are much more enjoyable. Of course Uncharted 4 looks insane, but it’s only for PS4 and is more linear. MGSV is for older consoles too and has a vast open world mostly and still looks amazing.
The gameplay of UCs for me isn’t so much fun, it’s just mostly shooting nonstop. Same with every game. Anyway I will still play UC4 but I think most are hyping these games because of the graphics. To me games are more than that. Ok I guess fans can say they have good story and characters too, but they don’t make me feel so much like MGS games story.
P.S. UC fans here not trying to sound like some a-hole :P, just saying my opinion.
uncharted 1 was the pinaccle. than the quality just dropped continously… UC 3 is just an average game in my opinion.

i’ll stick to my rating: 5/10. close quarters combat was fun, graphics were great but the story was bull & the villain. the levels were more tedious this time around.

Dude, the story in Uncharted 3 was complete trash. One of the great things about the series was the sci-fi fantasy twists during the end games. 3 did everything in its power to discredit this and make everyone “real”, including stripping Drake of his ancestry. Plain Bullshit. I cannot stand when people think fiction has to be real.

I agree uncharted 3 was pretty meh but I like 2 better than 1.
It’s just a matter of taste in the end. But the appeal of Uncharted is going on an adventure with these characters, exploring exotic locales and it has a lot of humor. Also, just like MGS, the games are always very polished and made with attention to detail. The gameplay isn’t very complex, but that is also the charm, that it’s so accessible and easy to pick up. It’s just… a very fun game to play. 😉 But again, it’s a matter of taste, like everything.
I know, I want to like them and love them more but I don’t know what it is :(… But as I said, I will still play UC4 🙂 maybe it will change my feelings.
I used to play Tomb Raiders a lot when I was younger, so dunno what changed :C. I mean they’re both about exploring treasures etc.

Mayhaps this would come with an eyepatch, that would be teh cookies. But no loss, I wouldn’t get much use out of it besides decoration, as my eyesight is already fucked at best.
