Kojima shows new camo suit and Mother Base under construction
With the development of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Hideo Kojima is currently still in the phase of putting all the elements together and making it work as a whole. This means playing through the game and checking for any stuff that needs fixing or adjusting. During this phase of development, Kojima has already used up three pens since the end of January by writing out instructions for his staff. Today, he shared some new images on Twitter that show Snake in the helicopter and at Mother Base sporting a camouflage uniform.
“Going to field as always. Check out the Half Scale Replica of Snake’s Bionic Arm available in Collector’s Edition.”

“Under construction.”
The last photo shows the scaffolding that will appear when Mother Base is under construction. Kojima posted another picture of this a few days back, including the infamous chicken hat.

And here are two more from today that show the customizable emblem on Snake’s right arm. Speaking of that arm, it does;t look too good on the pictures, apparently Snake was shot there.

I’m curious how they are going to implement the boss fights in an open world structure. What do you guys think?
I guess it can work with a determined limited area. Remember in GZ what happens if you try to run towards one of the exit of camp omega ? The screen gets blurry and Kaz yells “Boss, Get back to the mission !”
Something similar could be applied for boss battles.
Agree, it may be a small area tough but i would definitely love if we could have a full map battle, especially if it was a sniping battle
Y’know, I know people have speculated that the Strogg looking guys in “Those Who Don’t Exist” (Be they the now evil Para-Medic’s proto-Grey Foxes or just a product of Big Boss’ brain damage or whatever else) will be the FOXHOUND/Dead Cell/Black Chamber/Cobras/B&B Corps. of TPP, but what if the whole “unit” only serves as a single boss fight across a pretty wide area?
That’s actually what I thought when I saw them. The new unit we’ll fight (because we should fight one) should have the charisma and personality of the previous ones (specially MGS1 and 2).
Absolutely! The lack of a squad of super-powered freaks was certainly one of the areas where Peace Walker came up a bit short (Though I appreciate that given PW’s gameplay, it would’ve been a bit awkward to try and make it work), at least in my opinion.
Always assumed that battle in particular would be something like in MGS2 where you fight the multiple Rays, but the way you put it sound even better! If they could have like specialized classes would be so good, like there was one sniper, one CQC, one Mid-Range weapon, and a Heavy fighter and they would be always random so you had to adapt everytime to the gameplay without knowing in which order you would fight them

I hope it goes back to the more supernatural types of boss fights. I loved Peace Walker, but I wasn’t a fan of the vehicle/robot boss fights. I’m thinking that boss fights will be inside buildings or in simply restricted areas within the open world.
They’ll probably lock you in a smaller arena for some boss fights.
But a sniper battle in a large map like this would be epic!

Could be that was too risky to surgically remove shrapnel, so they left it as is. But because “horn” getting bigger it is possible that shrapnel will came out eventually.

This is what I think also. It maybe comes off at the later parts of TPP, when it already seems huge in some of these chopper pictures and especially in Nuclear trailer.
Or someone remove it later surgically, if it’s almost out so maybe safer to do it then.

Hmmmmm look at the pictures on the chopper. There are screenshots from cinematics of the game. It seems we can screen capt moments and develop the pictures and put it on the chopper.
Yeah :D, will be really awesome <3. Looks like DD cutscene is below the others, where BB lift the cute lil' puppy in the air :). Then there were those strange photos of people on the other side of chopper I think in previous chopper pictures, MB staff maybe.

If I understand right, everytime you upgrade motherbase it goes under construction. If that is true, it will be one of the most awesome concepts ever. We’ve never (or rarely) seen something similar and it fits so well in this game. I will love seeing soldiers working on the base and messig with them to bother their work xD

I think the best person to do it is you or Big_Boss88. But I can organize if you guys are busy, it would be an honor. Problem is, we are going to need 5 teams: PS3, PS4, Xbox360, Xbox One and PC. I can command PS4 since it will be my only copy, i don’t know about you fellows. I am too a rookie in MGO but this one will be so diferent that most of us won’t understand a thing. But the leader itself doesn’t need to be the most skilled player, but the one with better sense of duty, organization and leadership.
Hmmm not sure would I be the the right guy for the leader job, maybe. But I’m sure there are many others too who might be when they notice this conversation so can hear other folks thoughts on the topic :).
If I have to be honest, I have mostly been the kind of player who enjoy SP games and some MP games with friends where real organization isn’t really needed lol. Like CS, DoD or Planetside 2 etc on pc. But I’d love to be part of a real good team in the upcoming MGO :), instead of a random group. Because this will be the most special and interesting MP yet ;D.
Also how fast do you brothers think people are going to jump into the MGO, if it release at the same time as TPP? I will be playing TPP for quite some time first.
Me too. I like SP mostly too but the idea is to have actual fans of MGS playing in a clan so there wont be the “COD players” shooting everything in sight on your team. We would be the top notch im stealth action 😀

I have never played MGO before, and will probably be having fun with the campaign for at least a couple weeks before I dive into online mode, but I’d be stoked to play alongside anyone here. MGI has a great community!

I’ve always played the mgs on playstation but due to the ps4 in my country cost a left arm (I think that’s why the game comes with a prostetic arm) I decided to upgrade my pc and play the game there, I would glady organice that but I’m too going to be exploring the single player game like Dora for some time. But as I say, If you wish I can try organice the Pc MGO.
I’ve played MGO2 for a long while until it got closed, most fun experience i’ve ever had in multiplayer 😀 as you know nyxus I’m a huge fan of the series ( my trophies! xDD ) and i will be playing this game exclusively on ps4. I would be honoured to lead the clan for only ps4. i’m still pretty new here so i understand if you have any problems for this matter. i will also be really busy starting on October for a while since i will be working on short animated films and my demo reel ( I’m a 3D character animator 😀 ) so i doubt i can give my full time to it xD.

yeah i totally agree, i think ocelot and kaz’s opinions will clash throughout the game and big boss will have to deal with it. i can easily tell that for us long time fans will have a hard time experiencing this game for the first time, especially when we finally get to see when he actually falls to a villain. it’s exciting! but it will be very very emotional.
for me personally, i always favoured BB more than solid snake since playing mgs3, such an incredible game ( my current favourite too! ) we can expect to go on a crazy feel train here 0.0!!

We all know BB has to FIND Kaz in the game, but how will he LOSE Kaz as an ally is the more interesting question. Especially since in PW, BB was more noble & idealistic while Kaz was more pragmatic & opportunistic. That’s a long way to fall (depending on how high your Heroism score was in PW haha)

I think so… there is the “Activate a product on Steam” under the “Games” tab. So imo you can do it there, but not 100% sure as it has been years since I last time played a physical copy of PC game. These days I always use Steam or Origin to buy digitally 😉
With console I prefer physical.

Just for the record, the decision to go with someone else than Hayter for this game was not a financial one, but a creative one. Kojima wanted an actor who he felt could do a lot with his facial expressions. It’s just the direction Kojima wanted to go with this game.

I wouldn’t expect tessellation with a cross generational game. Once they make a game for PS4 and PC they’ll probably have all the new shiny features.
Max Payne 3, a 2012 Last Gen Game has tessellation, so why couldn’t a 2014/2015 Fox Engine game have, at least on PC is is not possible on PS4.
Oh really? I wasn’t aware of that because Max Payne 3 didn’t really look that good on PC. I’ve done a lot of programming but have never used tessellation so am not sure what it’s limitations are. Maybe they just haven’t implemented tessellation in Fox engine yet? I’m not too bothered by it because it’s a pretty subtle effect and doesn’t make a crappy game playable.
You never know, the PC TPP might have some graphic options that GZ doesn’t.

It talks about how GZ was targeted for PS3 and 360. They probably started making a lot of the game before they got PS4 dev-kits. I haven’t actually read it all yet but it explains lack of tessellation.

Ya that’s one of the trade-offs of PC gaming a lot of times, it misses out on a lot of physical content like collector’s editions because of it going almost entirely digital. It still gets some, but it misses out on a lot like Arkham Knight and Metal Gear for the time being.

I need, at least, another suit in ground zeroes for the daytime missions.
Could be a flashlight too? And like Kojima said the Weapon Customization looks very deep because in the ”Sunbathing in my White Motherbase.” screenshot, the tranq. gun is at same rank ”2” like this screenshot but this gun have the flashlight/laser or both, so looks like we don’t need to upgrade our weapon to add some extra tools like in Peace Walker(like m16 have the suppressor at 3rd or 4th rank in PW) or maybe there are more tools (grips,scopes etc.) gonna unlock through you upgraded your weapon.This look liked very acceptable for me.
I think it’s going to be like pw in level upgrade and mgs4 in terms of attaching parts. And the guns can have different colours in every piece we add. I don’t remember if we can do that in mgs4.
Everytime I see that minigun attached to the side exit of the chopper I pray that we can use it during certain missions…

What do you mean exactly? On the pictures you can see the prosthetic arm.
What is that thing that’s marked on his own base? You can’t mark your own guys on your base, and it would look green if it was. It’s actually an aqua blue color. Any guesses?

Yes. that would be awesome. I still have my behind-the-scenes BluRay from MGS4 and love those sort of documentaries. Sadly I don’t have a Ps4/xbone so no collector’s edition for me.

thats infusion therapy is the intravenous (IV), administration of medicines and nutrition. ……patients include those who need pain management, are dehydrated, have nutrition deficiencies, infections, diabetes, cancer or renal failure.etc etc…and the green color means that certen vitamins were added to the IV…in this case i would guess this is Vitamin-C for nutrition needs

Talking about the last picture? I see what looks to be sort of like a catheter line which may be going to the actual stump of what’s left of his real arm, maybe for pain or fluids?
