Kojima tweets: Shinkawa, FOX Edition PS4 and Oculus Rift

Here are some recent miscellaneous tweets by Hideo Kojima, collected for your convenience.

First off, art director Yoji Shinkawa at work.

“Yoji gave lecture to KJP’s freshmen this morning.”

Yoji-Shinkawa-Reviewing-REX-Design

“Yoji reviewed the design of REX.”

Kojima also took a picture of Metal Gear Solid 4’s loading screen displayed in what looks like Konami Style – shouldn’t the screen show MGSV though?

“I happened to review loading screen in MGS4, & found was longer than I thought. The face of Old Snake looks stiff.”

On another photo, Kojima suddenly got his hands on a new piece of technology.

Kojima-Oculus-Rift

“OMG!!!!”

For those unsure what’s going on here: Kojima is trying out ‘Oculus Rift’, a Virtual Reality headset that can be used to play certain PC games.

Lastly, a picture of the final design for the ‘FOX Edition’ PlayStation 4.

Fox-Edition-PlayStation-4

“LE of PS4(FOX EDITION), carved by laser. This is the sample for final check.”

As is evident from Kojima’s comment, the logo is not a sticker like some people assumed, but is actually carved into the plastic.

“The moment when next gen became current gen.”
