Kojima: Venom Snake not only has a horn, but a ‘tail’ as well
On Twitter, Kojima has stated that Venom Snake, aside from his horn, also has a tail, or at least, something that reminds of a tail.
There’s a horn on V Snake but in fact he also has a tail. Instead of physical tail, the belt looks like the tail.
On this screenshot the belt can be seen hanging from Snake’s back. It’s visible on other screenshots as well.
These physical attributes are meant to give Snake a demon-like appearance.

I also wanted to share something with you guys.
My godfather has lost three of his fingers from his right hand because of a work accident. We were drinking some beers last week when he suddently placed his left hand on the place where his fingers were. I asked him what’s wrong, and he said to me that every now and then he feels pain coming from his missing fingers. Not something too painful but, still. The pain is there. I said to myself: holy shit, The Phantom Pain!!!

I imagine he meant ‘everyone who works in hospitals encounters in their patients’.
So in other words, people who work in hospitals, have their patients say that they suffer from phantom pain.
Want a similar sensation? Put a cast on for 15 minutes, then take it off. You will still feel it there.

That’s the actual medical definition of a Phantom Pain. Feeling pain what’s not there. It mainly applies to people who have lost limbs.
In MGSV it represents not only the arm lost by Snake or the arm and leg lost by Kaz, but the Phantom Pain in their brothers lost, like Kaz said in last years E3 trailer “The comrades I’ve lost…..it won’t stop hurting…..it’s like they’re all still there”
Does this means that Snake’s clothes wont change like in PW Sneaking Suit, Battle Suit…?
It means that he will always have a belt hanging regardless of what he wears.

I thought his name was punished snake. It comes up on the screen I think in the red band trailer. Did they change him to Venom snake now? Anyone know? I’m not upset with it or anything just curious.
Maybe it’s both, maybe he changes from punished snake to venom snake, or maybe they change it because punished snake sounds like he was punished because he did something wrong and he didn’t do anything wrong he just lost everything because other people didn’t like him, so maybe they changed it to fit more with who he is in this game, I like Venom Snake more it fits his character in the game about 1000% more.
Agreed. I was just a lil confused with it since I saw the punished snake scene and everything now says venom. It does fit his character more so it makes sense.
No, “Punished Snake” was his name in Trailer, when Venom Snake was from beginning “V has come to”
I hope customization gets down to details in MGSV. I’d colored the belt a sort red to compliment the whole demon vibe V is descending to.

Before Destiny, The Last of Us Remastered, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, The Evil Within, Far Cry 4, The Crew, and that sweet-looking game Assassin’s Creed Unity comes out I have only the summer to platinum MGS4. If I don’t I probably won’t ever get to platinuming it because not only the end of this year is packing, but 2015 is going to be even greater! Buy the end of August I will platinum Guns of the Patriots. I have to. I need to. I want to.
I’m saying this because it’s summer. Highier temperatures are dangerous for your console, because you have to get the Chicken emlem. That means having the console run for at least 35 hours. I got the platinum in August 2 years ago. Because it was summer, the console needs to be checked every now and then to see if it needs to rest for a couple of minutes. You need to play it smart. Get a list of the emblems and sort them in time consuming playthroughs. This way you will be getting as many emblems per playthrough as possible.

It’s not a belt. It’s called a cow tail. It’s a carabiner attached to a length of nylon or canvas, and is used to clip into peqods metal cargo rings so he doesn’t fall out if the Helo has to take evasive maneuvers. The US military uses them for Helo ops. Hence the seatbelt sound every time you get in the Helo.
