Metal Gear Informer should be faster and more stable now
Metal Gear Informer has upgraded to a new hosting plan. You may have noticed during the past couple of years that the site would sometimes become slow, or even go offline from time to time. The reason for that was simple: the website has become too big for the server to be able to handle the large amount of traffic.
We have been speaking to our provider about this, and what it came down to is that we had to upgrade to a bigger hosting plan, one that was more capable of handling the current amount of pageviews.
This upgrade brings two notable advantages: the site will become more stable, and it will become a lot faster (about 66% apparently), due to the use of a content delivery network.
We hope you’ll continue to use this website as the go to source for Metal Gear and Kojima information!

Thanks Nyxus, I know keeping a server (even with a provider) costs money and a lot of effort. Besides that, all MGS info always comes right on time, sometimes I even think you’re an AI 😛 I wish I was here since the very beggining to suport this community because I really like the way this place is, but anyway I’d do anything in my power to keep our Heaven alive. So guys, I just thought of something.. Since Sony will be making a big push for Project Morpheus at this year’s E3.. It got me thinking.. What if Project Morpheus is supported by Kojima and MGSV? Imagine how crazy the hallucinations and the opening sequence would be. I think I might just get a PM just for MGSV.
I’m really not going crazy for VR, but for this I’d be all in for it. Just like my interest in 3D has increased recently after finally seeing my first 3D film (Mad Max: Fury Road), as well as 3DTVs being far more affordable now–but barely any games that currently support it.. go figure.
So anyone here for a MGSV x Project Morpheus?

so… any plans to better integrate the forums into this blog? ie, forums.metalgearinformer.com? same layout, color scheme, etc. Only thing is i guess people will have to sign up to post. I actually forget theres a forum tab and never go there because its pretty much a whole different site.
Don’t think WordPress has forums. But you’re right, the forum is a separate thing as it is now.
