Metal Gear Rising on PC will be region locked

In three days, on January 9, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be released for PC, as a Steamworks game. But it turns out that not everyone will be able to buy the game.

This is because of a region locked imposed by Konami through Steam. It turns out consumers in Ireland, India and even Japan (where the game is developed) won’t be able to get their hands on the title, at least at the current time.

JP Kellams, creative producer at Platinum Games, brought up the issue at the office, and they’re looking into it.

Just letting everyone know: First thing I did in the office today was talk about the MGR region lock thing. @konami are looking in to it.
