Metal Gear Rising wins gold at PlayStation Awards 2013
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance won the Gold Prize at the Japanese PlayStation Awards 2013. The action game featuring Raiden was developed by Platinum Games in collaboration with Kojima Productions, and released earlier this year, exclusively for PlayStation 3 in Japan.
Since 1995, the PlayStation awards are held every year in Japan. This year’s show took place December 3 at 3pm JST.
Metal Gear Rising won gold, meaning it sold over half a million copies in Japan. Among the creators present at the awards show were producer Atsushi Inaba, director Kenji Saito, as well as writer Etsu Tamari.
Currently a PC version of the game is in development, but a release date has not been announced so far.

The worst mistake kojima has made thus far in his career was cancelling the original rising and letting platnum make this garbage. This is one of the worst games I ever played and should have no association with the MGS name.

Metal Gear Rising and Dynasty Warriors aren’t even comparable. Totally different games lol.
This is metal gear it’s fine if you don’t like the game but you have to see this is very metal gear I mean it has one of the main protagonists of the series. This isn’t traditional metal gear of course but it’s not like it’s effecting metal gear solid, I enjoy the game for what it is a great action game with a loved character.
Trust me, Rising is like Shakespeare compared to mg: snake’s revenge.

as avid action game fan who played tons of hack and slash games like Devil May Cry, Chaos Legion, Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden, Killer is Dead, No More Heroes.
Metal Gear Rising sits on the top as one of the best action games ever made. the amount of gameplay adjustments, special moves they have put and crafted in this game is just amazing
Tamari should be fired!! The rest is welcome for a sequel.

Congratulations, Platinum! Even though I dislike the game and used to bitch about it, I’m still impressed that this game sold over half a million copies in Japan!
