Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater out now

Today is the release of Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, the remake of the beloved classic from 2004. The game has been rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5, keeping the story and characters of the original game intact while providing new visuals and gameplay elements. The game is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. For an overview of the different versions, go here.

A multiplayer mode is also in development, and will release in the Fall. The PS5 and PC versions of the game will come with a Snake vs Monkey mode, while the Xbox version has a Snake vs Bomberman mode instead. There will also be a secret theater mode, and players will be able to obtain 8mm film canisters from enemy soldiers to unlock these special scenes (both scenes from the original secret theater mode as well as new ones). The Guy Savage easter egg game will also make a return, and has been remade by PlatinumGames.

Furthermore, Konami has issued a statement saying they are working on fixing some of the issues reported about the game so far, and will release an update ‘as soon as it’s ready’.
