Metal Gear Solid movie announced, again
The Metal Gear Solid movie is back from the dead, it seems. Announced as far back as 2012, after a few sparse details throughout the years followed by radio silence, the film was presumed dead. But today, The Hollywood Reporter, well, reports that the movie (or at least a Metal Gear movie) will be directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein (Final Destination: Bloodlines) through their new company Wonderlab.
The movie will still be produced by Sony’s Columbia Pictures and Avi Arad (as well as his son Ari Arad), so at least that hasn’t changed.
On the project, the director duo said: “Metal Gear Solid was nothing short of a groundbreaking cinematic masterpiece that forever revolutionized video games. We are thrilled and honored to bring Hideo Kojima’s iconic characters and unforgettable world to life.”

It was said previously that Snake would be played by Oscar Isaac, but it remains to be seen if this is still the case. It’s also unknown wether Jordan Vogt-Roberts is still involved.
