Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater Pachislot will get its own soundtrack cd
Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater, the Pachislot adaption of the classic PlayStation 2 game, is getting its own soundtrack cd in Japan. The cd is set for release on January 11th of next year, for a price of ¥3240 (about $30 or €28).
The soundtrack will come on two discs, and the track list is as follows.

What I’m seeing? Konami using the Metal Gear Solid Main Theme again!?
Yeah, looks like this is a remix though (as it says KPE Arrange).
I think its the version that plays during the 2nd pachi trailer (you know the long one) and due the high energy nature of the track I doubt they’ll include the classic guitar solo rendition of the classic melody, but the leaked pachi camrips show that “fortress sneaking” “life’s end” and “debriefing” didn’t had the MGS theme censored, (also they theme wasn’t removed for the HD editions but no promotional media featured it except that japan-only MGS3 HD trailer back in 2011)
now we have to wait if fortress sneaking, Life’s end and debriefing don’t get the MGS theme removed like the MGS3 main theme got censored in the 2007 “Metal Gear 20th Anniversary music collection” soundtrack… if its not censored it will be the 1st time since 2005 (MGA soundtrack) in which konami released a full uncensored version of the MGS classic melody(even when it have an voice over it), you can find just fragmented versions on MG20th anniversary on “Who I am, Really and Hal’s theme, on Portable ops “Revelation” track and on MG25th Anniversary on the middle of the “Gem Impact Tracks”
They also call the MGS3/4 theme the “Metal Gear Solid Main Theme,” so there’s that. I’m expecting it’ll be the same as the revisionist MGS3 version, with the ending changed to remove the original theme.
Really hate that they stopped using it.
To be honest it probably wouldn’t really fit with MGSV, it’s a little too ‘heroic’ for that story.
Yeah, you’re right. But they really could remake it to fit the tone, like “Snake Eater”‘s version was very different from previous ones.

I really applaud the optimism Nyxus, but they are releasing a soundtrack for a Casino machine, let that sink in…a soundtrack…for a Casino Machine…the concept alone is bonkers. Just how much lower is Konami willing to go to milk a franchise?
Surprisingly enough this isn’t the first time that happened. For example, Biohazard pachislot also got its own soundtrack cd, so it looks like Capcom does it as well.

There’s one track I’d like to see released, The Boss’ theme. It plays when Snake first talks to here over the codec during the Virtuous Mission and it plays again during her confession before the final battle in the flower field
I have ripped it, but is not ready for release yet… ripping some mgs3 tracks that arent avaiable, but I cant remember them all, but at least there are 4 unreleased tracks on the scenes with the boss on the flower field scenes that were not released, there’s also that theme ere eva tells snake that the boss is waiting for him at the lake… Is going to be available some time late November I hope
I tried ripping the audio from the PS2 disc but I wasn’t successful. Glad to hear you’re having better luck. Keep me in the loop when they’re available
Kojima productions remixed the sound for the HD release giving true 5.1 audio… using an optical signal splitter I was able isolate the music in most cases (sometimes there’s echo voiceover the music, or ambient effects like wind and birds and ruins the track a little (still better than nothing), so I must clean and all that stuff, but It sounds great, the problem is that it converts digital signal to analog and there’s a little noise… is not a deal breaker but I want to get the bes quality posible

I’ve seen your channel before, back when Portable Ops dropped the main theme after its first trailer. You’re working on other MG games besides Snake Eater?
some MGS4 stuff was planned, but most of the unreleased tracks came with the 25th anniversary disc which I’m thankful for (specially the MGS2 ending piano theme that had a lot of echo on my rips) so only the MGSaga theme will be ripped, there’s also a Drebin theme near the end and a couple more of melodies, peace walker unfortunately doesn’t have real 5.1, is just simulated dolby pro-logic II surround for cut scenes and rips are not good (and there’s nothing unreleased for the gameplay since most was ripped used the PSP emulator and the only song was the snake eater flshback theme), so its a shame, I will see how it rips the PAZ theme from Ground Zeroes but that’s pretty much it.
I’m finalizing a torrent in where I include all the DVD’s that I used as source for the utube channel, and many PSN uncompressed post-2007 trailers
the other project is a MGS3 TGS 2003 trailer re-edit with pure pachinko cam rips but I have to do that from zero, I wish I had direct feed footage but it will take forever for someone to actually take apart the machine and upload the hundreds of video files that the pachislot rom has…
I know the MGS2 piano theme you’re talking about, where Raiden and Rose are talking at the end. That plays during MGS4 when Outer Haven crushes Raiden on Shadow Moses. Any luck with the other tracks?

DS was indeed 100% real-time, no slightest doubt about it since when, as you said, Boss warned us before playing it.
Was saying real-time in the sense of a tech presentation where for example a KP dude would have manipulated the sand-box for us live or a footage of some game elements in their editor.

I know, but I think it’s also silly to say critics are paid if they rate a movie or a game highly because they are opinions. Or to trust every review out there. Best is to just see for yourself how much you like it. If I had left out every game or movie that has gotten negative reviews, I would have missed a shitload of amazing things.

The statistics for having both and randomly Mads and Hideo in Sheffield the same days is very low, I guess. We know Boss was there for 3D scans and for sure scanned himself once more, probably as a dummy for calibration purposes, but it would be statistically surprising to have Mads “working on a video-game” in Sheffield (according with this fan) if it was not for DS (xD).
So we have real reasons to believe that our Intel team Golg-vision S++ was outstandingly accurate once more. ;D

I was exactly wondering the same. Besides, Koji-Tube 6 should not spoil anything if there is a big surprise next month (would kill it in terms of com), so yeah, we may not see any episode before X-Mas or something, because they may also need to mount possible TGA+PSX shots and translate them as well.

Both are possible. Kojima has worked with Geoff before for reveals, so he could show something at TGA . Then again, since this time he has a partnership with Sony it would make a lot of sense to show it at PSX. Both would probably be too much to ask, unless there are two small teasers or something similar.
If there are really some contractual aspects, then yeah, but Boss could easily split / extract some sneaks from the PSX material. I would sense it odd to have Boss coming there possibly receiving his statue from the hands of some celebrity (Mads, who knows) and just simply just say, “save the date for PSX” ?
Maybe that’s what gonna happen after all… But Geoff, Boss and all of us were left with a specifically sad note last year so the situation is also very exceptional… We’ll see…
Look, TGA is a celebration show. PSX is much more important because you can show a game to the Playstation audience and Sony expect that, unless they have more major announcements they want to focus on like RDR2 or The Last Of Us 2, God Of War…
Kojima can do both, but again, TGA is not the most amazing place on earth to show AAA games.
Kojima can do the same thing Naughty Dog did.They showed a teaser for Uncharted 4 for TGA and full trailer was released at PSX.

I still haven’t bought Uncharted 4. I was going to get around to it but I have soooo many games in my backlog. lol and worst of all I just keep ignoring those games and play Sleeping Dogs for hours.

Some reports say, that it was their own fault. Publisher gave them money for SD2, but they went and made those 2 games (don’t even remember their names) and by the time of their closure, money was spent and no work was done on the sequel. Truly a pitiful story, if true.
Can’t wait for the U4 DLC. Left Behind was amazing at providing story content that was not cut and added to the game’s story. Really hope we get to play as *mild spoilers*
