For the fassbender thing… well… c’mon it’s just his face and even that is shady and almost hidden. having that said i think of fassbender as a very good actor, love his part in inglorious basterds and he played a young magneto very well. also he was good in prometheus, but the movie was shit.

For some reason, I’m getting a vision of Danny Tanner obsessively cleaning every crevice of the house and then sitting down to play TPP, then making sure to go back to MB for a shower after every mission and go exclusively nonlethal to avoid a mess.

After realizing that everything said in those reviews was controlled by Konami, and didn’t allow reviewers to say certain things about the game for “spoiler” reasons, and that these reviews are not based on the full game, but a time limited play throught of the Campain, i’m not buying all the 10/10 untill september 1st.
Remember, they did the same thing in 4 with the Shadow Moses level not being revealed before release. Idk that they controlled everything, definitely applied a thick layer of censorship

I agree with you to an extent. There are some details the reviews touch on that I take with a grain of salt – story opinions: as the extreme inconsistencies in the general consensus and the contradictory reasons behind it raised some giant red exclamation marks above my head. With that being said I do not believe an incomplete play session under those conditions renders their option completely obsolete. These people got to play 30-60 hours of the game, and if that isn’t enough to generate a provisional consensus, and the game isn’t fun after the first hour or so, that’s a blatant design flaw.
There are many reviews that specified that they are provisional like Polygon, and there where many that refused to give scores until they completed the game, and it is not like Konami censored all negative impressions – like the Washington Post review stated that despite TPP being Kojima’s biggest failure it still has a heart of gold. I believe the game was reviewed in such an unoptimal environment for a reason be it because of Kojima not wanting journalists to experience certain things (endings where made either inaccesible or very difficult to get to), or evil Konami meddling; the truth of the matter is we will find out in a few days.
The things they don’t allow people to talk about is all spoiler-related stuff.
Which is BS, what they should do instead is “You are not allowed to talk about these things in your spoiler free, however, feel free to tell anything in your Spoiler Review!”
Don’t you see, they used this excuse to have as much control as possible on the Review proccess, THIS IS like 1984, once again!

Guys, small advice. I’d avoid the Polygon review. I skimmed over it a bit and found some stuff regarding our favorite Sniper. They heavily hint at her reason for dressing like that and maybe even more spoilers but I stopped after that.

Yeah it was a great trailer. And about FOBs, I don’t even know if that function works pre-release, so I am not worried about it. I know that when I am finally able to play the game, I will forget about most of this broken street date stuff. It’s just funny because I have run out of games to play and things to do until launch, so now time feels like it is slowing for me. Really, I just work, play AdVenture Capitalist for 5-10 minutes and search for MGS news for the rest of the day, lol. The launch of this game means the end of an era for me.

Yeah, that’s how I feel too. Every time I try to play a game I become distracted by thinking about TPP. “How am I going to design my base? My emblem? What are some good strategies for FOB defense/offense? Will I abandon a mission mid-way to defend my base?” etc.

i kinda worrying for the sales tbh, since its opening on the same day with Mad Max, another AAA title. Of course, its no way a contender to this masterpiece, it’s def however, a potential to hurt the sales :(. I think Warner Bros should push back the release date, for both sake :).
Some pick Mad Max over TPP. But I think TPP will crush MM with sales, I wouldn’t worry :). Especially after all the review scores, some have made up their mind to choose TPP instead.
Yeah, considering how AMAZINGLY HUGE MGS is to the gaming industry and only roles around every 3-5 years, it was inconceivably dumb for them to release Mad Max on the same month, LET ALONE THE SAME DAY! I want MM to sell, but with TPP coming out the same day will really hurt its sales.

That being said it was obvious that the last gen versions were going to be leaked and pirated early simply because last gen has already been cracked.
Guys i bought the game this morning, and I had to wait till tonight to play it. I only played the prologue and the begining of the first mission. This game is amazing. I’m a MGS fan since my childhood and I can say that no one’s gonna be disappointed. Only 2 hours gameplay and I already have a ton of question and can’t wait for the answers. Now i left the game to my little brother (I have educated him with MGS Love since he’s a baby) and waiting for my turn to play again. I can’t describe my feelings, I’m fighting the urge to cry. I’ve been waiting more than 7 years for this day, Portable Ops and Peace Walker weren’t very good. So MGS4 is my true last MGS experience (GZ doesn’t count). This is one of the best day of my life so far. Kojima, you’re a great man.
Yeah really looking forward to it also :). I think I will cry in many parts of the game, MGS only do that to me haha.

You’re welcome, a true MGS fan never spoils. I’m 26 and my little brother is 15, we were like two children when I came home with the game. I gave him the “honor” to open the box and put the game in the console haha, I saw myself years ago openning mgs packages. No other game gave me the same feeling as the MGS series. He just finished the prologue and went out of the room looking at me and smiling, said it was amazing and beyond what he expected !
Ahhhhhhhh can’t wait anymore. My hype is an acid. And yes it is doing more damage to the vessel which its stored.

The prologue is something I’ve been most excited of while waiting for TPP. Even though it is linear, but it just look so amazing and creepy. What a way to start a game.

So, i have some doubt, i played GZ on Ps3, for TPP i ordered the Ps4 version among the red special console, time ago they said that we can transfer the save data from GZ to TPP to gain extra content even between different gen of consoles, how exactly it will work?
I assume it saves your data from Ground Zeroes on a server. when you fire up the game it says it is connecting to a server. This server also works with the GZ companion app to keep track of your play records.
But i have to do a whole new Psn account or can i use the old one?
You still use the same PSN account it even has your PS3 trophies displayed on the PS4

Shit , I just heard that in the collectors edition, there is no dlc voucher like the day one edition has, so the people that got lucky to have it early , they don’t know what to do they don’t have the dlc. The box says not for resale so it may come in the disc but this makes me sad. I mean waiting and waiting and we may not actually get the dlc.

I’m not sure if it applies to both U.S. and EU, but people that got the CE already (the one we’ll get on sept 1st) on ps4, don’t have a physical voucher with codes for dlc in it. The Xbox one CE has them tho.
Well, that’s weird, the DLC should be included in the Collector’s as well, I just checked the Gamestop site and they mention the extra content on the CE page.

I’m not really because a) I would’ve got the game and generated my own opinions and b) I kinda feel bad for him that he hasn’t played any of the other games (bar rising and GZ) so his experience will be slightly blunted, but then again it will be quite good to see an outsiders impressions.
There was literally no new footage lulz.
The bit at the end when BB is suspended upside down and Skull face walks towards him and BB looks as of he wants to tear his head off, was never used in promotional footage – yes it was only a few extra seconds of a snapshot of a scene we have already seen, but it’s a testament to the acting of the Kiefer and the cinematic direction that a few extra seconds of footage left quite a sizable impression on me…

Looks like the PS3 and X360 version of TPP are already on Torrents, but yeah, apparently we PC Gamers are “The Pirates”…huh, Hypocrites!
PC has much more pirates than PS3 and xbox360 combined, I’m not shocked that they didnt want the game’s files a week before its release, all of the good parts would be out there when people read the file names and whatnot, it just worries me that steam may overload and make the downloading process much harder for all of us who got it legit on release day….

i just read in a spanish gaming website review ,that no one in the boothcamp could play the mission 46 of the main-story and that no one knows what happen in that mission or after that.
