Metal Gear Solid V will still contain ‘stupid jokes’
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will take the series into a dark and serious direction. If this wasn’t apparent from the trailers, it should be clear from Kojima’s own statements. The game will include mature themes and will have its share of shocking moments. However, if we are to believe Kojima’s recent Twitter posts, there will also be some of the good old ‘stupid jokes’, as the game director describes it himself.
We can be sure the game will still be tell a serious story, but some comic relief between all the darkness can be welcome, stupid or not.

I would rather have genuine humor (like Last of Us) but as long as the game’s not completely serious I’ll be happy.
Who’s there? Don’t sneak up on me like that! Nah… It was just my imagination, playing tricks on me.
Wouldn’t be MGS without the silliness sprinkled in there. Just not another Akiba, please…
i hope we get some 4th wall breaking like in MGS2 😛
I’m sure we will, it’s sort of a staple of the series.
