MGSV at Tokyo Game Show 2014: Full Event Schedule and Live Streams
Here you can find the full schedule of all Metal Gear related events during Tokyo Game Show 2014. They take place from September 18 up until September 21st. The specific times are all in the JST timezone. You can also find links to the livestreams below, where there is one. There are no streams on September 19th.
The two events in bold (the very first and very last) are probably the most important when it comes to new information on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
September 18

For Europeans the first stream starts early in the morning. In Tokyo it’s 6 hours later than in Finland, so for you that would be 6:00.

I’m just glad the times are finally easy for me to work out, Australia is only one hour ahead of japan. I probably won’t watch the live stream but it’s nice to know exactly what time I should look up the new information

I’d be suprised if they didn’t announce a release date, they have so much lined up for TGS theres bound to be a release date.

Yeah im expecting they announce TPP console release and ground zeroes steam release date, TPP steam wont be announced untill early next year i’d guess.
They just have to announce it, I’m 95% sure. Must prepare for the 5% chance of shock though, if we for some reason don’t get it… 2 years of surviving this torture, so not sure how much longer I can take this o_O.
Anyway last major game show of the year and held in Japan, so it would make sense imo. Also they have been hypeing us fans enough for TPP >:(. If they don’t reveal it… I will hunt down Kojima myself and find out what it is -_____- .

It has been a long hard wait these past two years so I’m really hoping they just give us the date already so I can start counting down the days. I was beyond excited the day I finally loaded up GZ so with this I can’t even imagine what it’s going to feel like. I’m also really glad it’s going to be a very long game, peace walker was on psp and I don’t remember many games with more things to do so I’m glad we aren’t getting hyped for years to finish the story in 8 hours and I’m going to be taking the story very slow in the first place anyway.
Metal gear is one of the only games that can excite me lol, the only other game i got excited for was GTA San Andreas, oh i miss those days xD
My first time playin GZ i took over an hour just taking my time exploring. I see no point in buying a new game only to complete it in 6 hours i dont understand why people rush through them right away. I will be spending a lot of time just staring at the mani menu when TPP releases xD
Yea it took me about 1h 40min first time, I took it slowly too and was enjoying every moment in GZ mission, the new supersmooth gameplay mechanics etc. Fox Engine just look so beautiful especially with all the stormy rain etc. I can’t honestly imagine how amazing TPP will be when prologue was so epic already xD…and that ending D: .
I usually find the complaints funny/weird of those who buy GZ, because they speedrun through it Rambo style and rage over the internet when it is so short. But they make it short by themselves lol 😉 and not even playing the whole content, extra missions etc.
i hate that they speedrun through it and call it a ‘demo’ when really its packed full of content, ive spent more time on GZ then any other game on PS4
I’m pretty sure Phantom Pain Release will be the same for Consoles and PC, but yeah, hope they give us Ground Zeroes Steam release date, hopefully coming this October!

If it gets delayed then the PC Version better be in Spectacular 4K optimized perfectly, otherwise the delay is not justified.

That’s what Gematsu says (see the link in the source section). This is what the Konami TGS site says (translated by google):
“Introducing the game play demo video and TGS premiere, the latest information on: “THE PHANTOM PAIN METAL GEAR SOLID V” that buzz even E3, gamescom. Other, related items will be the first unveiling also planned.”
So no, not sure, this is just going by what Gematsu reports. There will be a video though, that’s for sure, but we don’t know what the contents will be exactly.
Hideo keeps teasing new bits of video on twitter, the Pic of Venom Snake in Mother Base, the short clip of Quiet’s powers in Kojima Station… I’m sure a new trailer is on the way.

I know this is a Metal Gear site, but as a Metal Gear fan I feel like we are just as obligated to follow whatever else Kojima is doing, if not more so. ESPECIALLY when it was something as crazy as PT with its mind blowing, out of this world reveal.
We’re probably going to get more Silent Hills info this TGS.

Well since its already been introduced to current gen and next gen,that means only one thing-PC.
I think that has more to do with the contest they have in japan where they tell people to send Kojima Productions their MGS:GZ gameplay videos and the best videos will be showed at TGS. They talked about it almost every Kojima Station episode.

The release date will be very important for me, since it will be the definite deciding factor if I get it for console or rig up my PC. If it comes out within 5 months, it’s console. Anything later than that, I will just die a little inside, forget about the game and just upgrade my PC. So much DRAMA!!!

In UK it starts pretty early, around 03.00 / 3 a.m. if I checked correctly. I’m not 100% sure of a new trailer, but it’s what I think we’ll see and if the above translation holds truth then yes. It would be the 6th though and hopefully last :P.

It’s probably better to distract yourself with something no matter how hard it may be. I’m obviously not to distracted since I come to check what’s happening on this site multiple times a day so I’m not one to talk, I’m ok with the waiting when I know something is months away but when it gets down to a few days away the waiting gets hard and long.
I’m keeping myself busy with Destiny, though I do tend to check this site at least twice a day lol. Yeah it is the last few days that are a special sort of wait, lol, months away is cool and full of hype but days is just waiting.

Anyone notice all the Stefanie Joosten going on at the event and in kojimas twitter and other events like that podcast and video stream thing before? alot of emphasis on someone who SUPPOSEDLY only mo-capped quiet. Im expecting her to voice a main character thats either quiet or someone else or be a main playable character.
Quiet is an important character though. Kojima said she is the ‘main heroine’ of the game.
I think also during the MGS4 hype period Kojima was at a lot of major events with Yumi Kikuchi who played Raging Raven. Maybe that’s just how he rolls 😉
