MGSV GZ iDroid’s heat map shows where players have died

A little while ago a new feature of the MGSV’s iDroid App was unveiled: a heat map. Now it’s become clear this map displays locations where other players have died, indicating potentially dangerous places.

This seems to be one of the social aspects of the game Kojima talked about a while ago. There may be other kinds of heat maps as well, and it seems there will be all sorts of data to compare.

Como que le saca algo de diversión si sabemos donde la gente “muere”…. acaso no evitarías ese lugar?

  • Reminds me of Dark Souls mechanic. Won’t use though because it kinda spoils exploration since people won’t visit dangerous places.

So you access this as the in game menu like the backpack and equipment window from MGS3/4?

Ehh would rather discover things myself before using this feature ^^
