Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Limited Edition PlayStation 4 bundle comes with new PS4 model
In some territories, a new PlayStation 4 bundle will release alongside Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in September. This bundle will contain a limitedĀ edition MGSV console and controller, as well as the Day One Edition of the game.
Konami has now announced the system included in the bundle will be the new model (CUH-1200), that was announced by Sony a few days ago. This version will be 10% lighter (2.5 kg instead of 2.8) and consume 8% less power than the old model (230W instead of 250W). Furthermore, the LED light along the system is shorter and the buttons are now mechanical. Port layout is a bit different as well. The HDD cover also has a matte finish instead of glossy, but this specific change does not apply to the MGSV console.

Thatās very good news for potential PS4 owners.
Might just have to replace my white PS4 with one of these bad boys. That said, given you canāt copy individual files on a PS4, transferring a system backup from that to this wouldnāt be an issue given the different hard drive sizes (Do Sony have a history of doing anything weird with backups being bound to system updates or anything?), would it? Seems like itād be an awful shame not to be able to play P.T. on this.
you could just upgrade your normal PS4 with 1-2 TB HDD instead of buying anotherā¦

How about you customize your courent one with whatever MGSV Image you want, instead of getting a new PS4 just for a plastic.
But, if you have too much money to spend, then get a PC along your PS4, or if you already have a PC, upgrade it, is a lot more useful then to have 2 PS4s!

if you allready have a PS4 and dont play more then 10 games simultaneously then there is no problem and no need for 1-2 TB upgradeā¦even tho the paint job is darn impressive,its probably only cost effective for PS4 newcomersā¦

Nah nah nah, basically, I was thinking this TPP PS4 was one of the 1TB models that Sony announced the other day, but this isnāt the case. I was asking about the transfer thing largely due to not knowing if Sony put in some weird partitioning system or whatever thatād potentially put the kibosh on me transferring my current system file (with P.T.) over before I sold it, so thought Iād better ask, but itās not really an issue now.

Has the 500Gb Hard Drive been a problem for anybody? Does it really fill up as fast as people say? I like to buy physical so I donāt know how that would differ but it seems people keep all their games installed at once. Iām asking because Iām not sure if I want to get a cheap ps4 and upgrade the HDD or get a bundle and just roll with the 500Gb.
if you dont play more then 5-10 big games simultaneously i dont see this being an issue
Yeah, i was thinking that. I just saw a few comments all over the place complaining about the HDD.
It hasnāt been a problem to me at all, even though some games can take 50+ gb. But once your limit is getting close, can just remove certain games you havenāt played for a while :).
Thatās what I do with my ps3 I just delete the games I havenāt played for a while or that Iāve finished and make room for other games.
One of the things I like about my Playstation 4 compared to any other console is that I can use SSD on it.
I upgraed it to 1TB SAMSUNG SSD and my games runs sometimes faster than on my super awesome i7 core Pc with 780 GTX Ti and 32 GB Ram which is insane.
Iāve been very happy with my PC/ps3 combo for gaming. I play mostly on PC and still give some love to my ps3 but the new games coming to PS4 are too tempting to pass up specially Uncharted 4 which looks amazing. Iāll definitely get a PS4 before TPP comes out.

I was really happy with how it turned out.
The skins are removable and reusable so you can switch out different skins.
I currently have an Uncharted 4 skin on my PS4 and light bar decals on my controllers and plan on getting a MGSV themed skin from them as well.

I bought mine from a site called Aliexpress.com,wasnāt sure at first was it a good site when read about some possible scams etc happening there. But decided to take a chance and it worked with no problems for me, also my TPP skin was perfect when arrived :). Itās a fantastic alternative imo, IF donāt want to spend the money on

Anyway the site got lots of skins for PS4 if search, only problem with them was having the patience to put them correctly but it was quite easy in the end. Sometimes I keep my PS4 in vertical position so the both images show, but scared that my damn cat is gonna make my console fall lol :Cā¦.
