Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Limited Edition PlayStation 4 bundle comes with new PS4 model
In some territories, a new PlayStation 4 bundle will release alongside Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in September. This bundle will contain a limited edition MGSV console and controller, as well as the Day One Edition of the game.
Konami has now announced the system included in the bundle will be the new model (CUH-1200), that was announced by Sony a few days ago. This version will be 10% lighter (2.5 kg instead of 2.8) and consume 8% less power than the old model (230W instead of 250W). Furthermore, the LED light along the system is shorter and the buttons are now mechanical. Port layout is a bit different as well. The HDD cover also has a matte finish instead of glossy, but this specific change does not apply to the MGSV console.

In any case, for those planning to buy the special edition MGSV console, it’s good news that this will be the new and improved model of the system.
