MGSV to be shown at Igromir 2014 gaming event, featuring ‘stunning footage’ and ‘specific announcements’
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be showcased at Igromir 2014, Russia’s largest video game event. It will take place in Moscow from October 2nd until October 5th, and will be attended by more than 150,000 guests. Here is a excerpt from the official press release:
METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN will be represented by a themed display that recreates a military installation as seen in the game. Within this is a 50-seater cinema area where visitors will be greeted by a specially-filmed presentation that features stunning footage from the game, showing updated content and a new location. KONAMI is also planning a series of Igromir-specific announcements regarding the series, which are certain to delight local fans of the series.
It remains to be seen how different the presentation will be from what was shown at TGS, but since Konami is promising ‘Igomir-specific’ announcements, there should be at least something new. For the full press release, follow the link in the source section below.
Update: When asked about the event, Konami representative ToraShiro posted the following comment on the NeoGAF boards: “I haven’t been told of any live stream. Russia falls under Europe’s purview (thus the Konami UK blog post), so I’m more running backup support on this. New screens coming, though.”

on metalgearinformer is the second place I uploaded the image (after uploading it on my fb page) so it should be the first instance it appears on the internet. Honestly though, since it’s just a silly joke that took a few minutes to bash together in Photoshop, if no one believes me I think I can live with that 😉
Good to know people ask about sources though, most think an image on the internet sprouts out of nowhere without any effort on anybody’s part (even if it is true of this particular image :D)

So we have desert,jungle environments….we will either see Russian like tundra/snow environments(explains the sneaking suit appearance) or some random urban environment

It’s probably Africa, though maybe we will get to see a new area.So far the confirmed locations are Afghanistan, the hospital that we’ve seen in the trailers wherever that is, Camp Omega and Africa. I don’t think we’ll get a new big location, although I would love to see a place with snow. Still, I’m not complaining, specially if those areas are gonna be as big as Kojima said.

This editor is actually a big Hideo Kojima fan and Metal Gear is the reason why he joined this industry. http://www.alogvinov.dom – it is his blog.
He did not wanted to fuck Kojima or anything. He just wanted to show that this song is just too close to the main Metal gear theme. After that Konami started to think about copyrights issues. It’s a big thing that could potentially harm Konami in the end because that composer is very popular in Russian territories.

I get it I guess. I just don’t like the way he did it. It could have been more private even though it would tough to tip toe around why the theme changed. I loved that theme too 🙁
they still used the “Raiden and rose theme” on MGS4 which is a modified version of the MGS theme that avoids the copyright (they used it briefly on MPO on the revelations track) they could made a “new” theme but they made the MPW one where they just repeat the 1st 3 notes all the time…
