New Metal Gear Solid V trailer for Xbox One
Microsoft kicked off their E3 2013 conference with a bang: an extensive trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, running on Xbox One.
The trailer start off with some gameplay demonstrating the open world and new mechanics and tactics it brings. Following is a story segment, with a song by Donna Burke, who also did Heaven’s Divide from Peace Walker.
After the trailer, Kojima and Don Mattrick walked onto the stage to announce the game for Microsoft’s next generation console. It’s pretty much a given the game will release on PlayStation 4 as well.

wow great trailer…..Kojima didn’t let me down….but one question that really bugs me is how much will current gen consoles differ in graphics from next gen consoles(just asking for this game)because im not planning to buy the game for current gen if it will HUGELY differ from next gen…..it would be like eating a pizza but without those extra ingredients witch makes it JUMMMY …..sorry if i went to far with that last part 😀
Apparently what we have seen so far should be on current gen, except for this latest trailer. But I’ll be getting the next gen version for sure!

I can’t say for sure, but when Kojima showed the previous gameplay they said it was running on a PC with specs comparable to PS3/360. And this was running on Xbox One.

Yeah, the new voice actor for Ocelot seems very fitting, since he’s in between young Ocelot (Josh Keaton) and old Ocelot (Patric Zimmerman) at this point. And he still sounded like Ocelot.

It’s so good to see him in this game, I missed him in Peace Walker. And this is really the first time he’s there as an actual ally (in MGS3 sort of, but you didn’t know).
If this game brings back more characters, it might be the best Metal Gear game to date!
Except for Kiefer Sutherland. I wish David Hayter was voicing Snake 🙁
Judging by the trailer, Sutherland is doing a good job at least.
Not denying that. I’m just saying I still miss David Hayter. Sutherland is doing a fantastic job. Just sounds odd that it isn’t David Hayter doing it. I still think Hayter would do a better job.

I have to admit that the very first thought upon seeing the trailer was that this looks a lot like Red Dead Redemption.
Did he say that? Well, it isn’t exclusive. 😛 It will come to PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and in all probability PlayStation 4 as well. Maybe PC.
But this isn’t the main trailer we’re expecting on June 12th?
The titles Kojima showed on his Twitter weren’t in this trailer. Maybe there will be another one at Sony’s conference. June 12th is when it will be posted on the official site, but it could still be shown earlier.
i can’t remember witch mgs had a similar procedure. It had a smaller trailer in another conference and then a full extended trailer days later (maybe MGS4 or PW)
Ocelot has a new VA, Heuy on legs, Quiet might be Sniper Wolf?, Chico is gonna die, Heuy with prosthetic legs, Kaz losing parts of his body(he’ll definitely live up to the MG MSX Remakes)
in any case what an amazing trailer, Snake is really becoming a real wild Snake on the hunt.

I don’t think she can be Sniper Wolf given her age (assuming the Afghanistan part takes place in 1984 as well). And we can add a new Snake to the list: Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Solidus Snake, Naked Snake and now Punished Snake.

Yeah, I called that one too. As one of the taboo subjects. Also, diamonds were handed out at the children, something to do with Diamond Dogs I suppose.
Did anyone notice, a little after the four minute mark, cyborg-like soldiers appear that look like the ones encountered in Rising?

The history is important, but is not everything in a plot …
Critics mock details … because they are a fuckin nerds.

I think the blonde kid is Liquid and the one Big Boss is strangling, the one we thought was Chico is Solid Snake. I totally agree with you adambay11!
boy with short hair is chico, it was in 1972 at the time of birth solid snake.
Chico has a X shaped scar on his right cheek. I guess this is really Solid Snake.

It’s so not like I’m used to in MGS, but overall it looks amazing and I’m still buying it!
Let’s just hope Kojima reveals more this week involving the release date, how GZ will be distributed, even mire questions about the story, and even the a MGO.

realise Ground Zeroes was only barely referenced at the end, even
though it was supposed to be BEFORE The Phantom Pain? And at the end of
the trailer Miller and Big Boss were walking away on the helipad at
Mother Base?
Yet Ground Zeroes showed the base being COMPLETELY DESTROYED O_O
Nyxus replace the trailer with this one since the GT one, the sound loses when Big Boss enters the desert storm a bit.
