Next MGSV:TPP gameplay video will focus on Mother Base
Kojima has announced another gameplay video for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is on the way, and this one will focus on the Mother Base aspect and will be narrated by Satoshi Mikami, the Japanese voice actor for Ocelot.
“Good to see you again, Boss. TPP is almost upon us. You pre-ordered yet? Been doing image training?” (translation by JunkerHQ)
According to Junker, the script you see on the picture says this video will reveal a lot of new elements. A release date has not been announced yet.
Update: Kojima has announced the Mother Base gameplay video he recently announced will be posted during gamescom (with English commentary). Gamescom, a gaming event taking place from August 7-9 in Cologne, Germany, will also offer a playable demo of the game to the public.

This is one of the most important details. I have been waiting since gamescom 2014. I look forward to it.
This far out from release I’m not exactly dying for more videos.
I mean, I’ll watch it and I’m glad for it, but I’m not as hyped as I would have been a month ago.

I think there was supposed to be atleast one indoor area on Mother Base, and it’s been said that atleast some missions wil take place indoors, or partially indoors IIRC
I’m hoping that we’ll see big bases to sneak around in (indoors) like something the size of GZ buried in the Afghan mountains or underground complexes like in MG2, that would be awsome 🙂
Come to think of it, ST-84’s hangar is probably not just the hangar alone, hopefully it’s part of a much bigger complex we can infiltrate.

The last gen console versions will get leaked early. With my newly modded Xbox 360 I’m gonna find it very hard to resist downloading it or even avoiding spoilers. Still have my PS4 Collector’s edition already paid for as to not feel guilty if I do give in.

It seems TPP might be available for Steam’s pre-order in Japan and maybe soon we finally get it globally. Also the TPP cover image changed for me in Steam, had it in my wishlist for long time and now it shows the V cover
image with Big Boss instead of “Not available”.
So maybe get to pre-order next week, about damn time ;D.
I hope I can get another PC. I have had this one for years. My next one I will build and choose the parts myself so I can play TPP on max settings.
If not then I will stick to my PS4.

Only visit MGI for spoiler free updates about the game

I’m gonna blast arm punch Ocelot every time I return to Motherbase. Especially if I’m frustrated by a mission and I have to retreat. Oh! he’s getting it. He deserves it too. Backstabbing, turncoat, scumbag.
I can’t believe you don’t like Ocelot. He’s probably my favourite MGS character. From the way he was born , through his respect and admiration for Big Boss. Yes he has mixed loyalties but I trul believe that at heart he is good. No bad guy in MGS is truly bad, they just believe in separate parts of the puzzle.
I like Ocelot. I think this might be the best iteration of his character ever. That said, I’m still going to rocket punch the shit out of him every chance I get.

I love the Ocelot character. But he is a sneaky scumbag, a weasel actually. A narcissistic psychopath. His story, especially his mothers (The Boss) is fascinating. He was born on the battlefield. A true soldier.
But he is using Big Boss to further his own plans. He admires Big Boss so much that wants to be him. But he knows he needs to kill him. It’s a pathological jealously.
1 month left and I still don’t have a console or a good pc… :'(
Well, since the game isn’t 3D, just gouge your eye (P.T. reference) and sell it to buy the special edition PS4! 🙂

Its been a great torture waiting 5 years for the next big Metal Gear but it will be worth it… For the last time ;’)
At least somehow keep in touch with us some how. I am not great at goodbyes, as a matter of fact goodbyes are one of my only weaknesses. But I am with you there on media blackout,I don’t want anything spoiled either.
It’s been exhausting tapping the square button frantically for all those years to keep our health up.
(I’ve been on a blackout too but… it’s too hard… I’ve watched every single video! Maybe this’ll be the first one I avoid since there isn’t much time left.)

Same here. I’ve said from the start that I’ll avoid everything. Up until now I’ve actually downloaded every single video in it’s highest quality and have watched them repeatedly. -_- (Probably once a day at least.)
I really want to avoid this one too but you know. It’s so hard. There isn’t much time left until we’ll actually have the game! It’s really exciting.
