Another contest aye?
Probably not, Rob Peeler was the one who arranged that and he’s gone… 🙁
Ohh… That’s a huge shame.
It is.
Three great games and Metal Geard Solid 4 :'(
Regardless of what you think of that game, Shinkawa art is always nice to look at!
Well, can’t argue with that 😀
No, you can’t. 😉
Although…
Nah, no worries just trolling again… xD

Though I was a bit disappointed by the artbook from MGSV, I preordered this set without even thinking about it 😀 especially since I never could get my hands on the MGS4 book :'(
That’s an easy pre-order, I only have the artbook for 2 and V. Shame it doesn’t have art from Peace Walker though.
It does!
Or at least, Amazon thinks so:
“Twenty years of tactical espionage action concept art, design, and
creativity! Coming in a collectable slipcase, this two book set contains
concept and key art from Yoji Shinkawa, art director and illustrator
behind Metal Gear Solid, MGS2: Sons of Liberty, MGS3: Snake Eater, MGS4: Guns of the Patriots, and MGS: Peace Walker.”
Peace Walker is included as well! From the official Dark Horse website:
“The collection includes The Art of Metal Gear Solid I–IV and Peace Walker Gallery Works and Studio Works.”

Oh, awesome! That’s good news, thanks.
800 pages wow.
800 pages of awesomeness.
HOLE!
LEE!
SHIT!
Fucking’A now this shits my jam. Shinkawa and MGS artbooks are so hard to get a hold of, so things like this are absolutely AMAZING! CAN’T WAIT!
Just to be clear this is the re-release of this collected limited books right? http://gameranx.com/img/12-Sep/mgs18.jpg
Yeah, that seems to be the case (the ones in the metal casing, not the scenario books).
Heads-up: you can now save 40% ($ 32.00) on the book through Amazon!
I’ve compared this to my own books and it seems to be a straight up reprint of the original ‘The Art of Metal Gear Solid’ and ‘The Art of the HD Collection’ at least. I don’t have GotP to compare but I assume it’s probably a reprint of that. However, the second volume of studio works seems to the same content as the MGS1 book, but a lot more than was printed on the HD Collection book.
Would have been nice if they could have added GZ and MGSV for the reprint, but I’m still absolutely getting this.
I am happy, but book cover looks bad
