The Metal Gear series has now sold 62.1 million copies

Konami has released its financial results, and has updated the cumulative sales numbers of their popular series on their official website. This includes the Metal Gear series, which has now reached 62.1 million total sales as of the end of September 2024. That means 400,000 Metal Gear games were sold in the last three months (the previous sales update had the series at 61.7 million as of the end of June 2024).

In their Consolidated Financial Results, Konami mentions the upcoming Snake Eater remake, writing it is ‘working diligently’ on its production to get it ready for release, although the game still does not have an exact launch date. A gameplay demo was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show last month.
