You’ll be able to wear a Chicken Cap in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

On Kojima Station Episode 31, which took place on December 25th 2014, Kojima announced a new item you’ll be able to use in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Called the Chicken Cap, headwear that lets Snake dress up as a chicken, this piece of equipment will have several benefits that will make things easier for people who get spotted a lot.

If you frequently get spotted, a message will pop up asking if you want to use the cap. It will make it harder for enemies to see you, and easier for you to see Snake. The crown on its head lights up during nighttime.

If you’re wearing the cap during gameplay you’ll still be wearing it during the cutscenes. You’ll also be able to use it online.

There are plans to release a real Chicken Cap after The Phantom Pain releases, though it won’t be as heavy as the one that appeared in the episode.
