Yoji Shinkawa assembles a Metal Gear RAY statue in Kojima Station Episode 3
The third Japanese episode of Kojima Station went live yesterday, on April 3rd. Here’s a brief summary.
The presenters (among whom Kojima himself) started off talking about the current world rankings for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, showing the records and heat maps.
After that Yoji Shinkawa showed off the Kotobukiya Metal Gear RAY, which you have to put together yourself (its’ an assembly kit). It comes in an impressive looking shiny silver box.
Then they played a video of Kojima’s signing session in Japanese store Tsutaya, which took place last weekend.
After that, Kojima talked a bit about the Metal Gear novels currently available in that store.
Meanwhile, Shinkawa was working on the assembly of the Metal Gear RAY in his office.
Then they showed off the PUMA X MGSGZ products in an item reminiscent of a home shopping network.
In the following item they played a video in which Yuji Korekado tried beating some of the Ground Zeroes world records, such as driving on two wheels, and tossing guards around using carefully placed C4. Playing the game live, level designer ‘Let’s’ gave a shot at the records as well, by sniping someone from the farthest point of the map he managed to reach 18th place.
They also talked about the limited edition Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Wired watch. Nearly everything about the item is designed by Shinkawa, from the watch itself to the box it comes in.
Then there was a lot of talking in Japanese, about the LEGO movie, among other stuff.
Near the end of the show, Shinkawa came walking in with a freshly spray painted piece of RAY, and Kojima couldn’t resist snorting some of its fumes.
