Director Fatih Akin on Death Stranding: risk is healthy

For the third entry in a series of short videos published by IGN, in which filmmakers talk about their views on Death Stranding and Hideo Kojima, director Fatih Akin (Gegen die Wand, Auf der anderen Seite) discusses the importance of taking risks within the creative space. 

“People wait for new stuff,” Akin said. “People don’t want to play the same game again and again and again in different versions.”

The other two videos in the series featured George Miller and Mamoru Oshii.

Earlier this month, Akin was interviewed alongside Hideo Kojima at EGX Berlin, as part of the Death Stranding World Tour.
