Bristol Robotics – Metal Gear Solid collaboration teased?
Konami’s European Communications Manager Su-Yina Farmer has been teasing a collaboration between Konami and the UK-based Bristol Robotics Laboratory.

Bristol Robotics Laboratory is the largest centre for robotics research in the UK. Based here is also Open Bionics, a company that makes affordable bionic arms using 3D printing (some examples of which can be seen below). The picture above appears to show such a hand, but we don’t have any details at the moment.

For those of you unfamiliar with this fantastic series, DanganRonpa is a series of mystery games usually about students trapped somewhere, with no way of escape. Unless they kill one of their “classmates” and get away with it. But if everyone finds out who the killer is, the killer is executed, and everyone has to continue their life in captivity. If everyone assumes wrong, everyone EXCEPT the killer gets executed, and the killer goes free.
With that stated, I want to direct you to the Twitter questions of that blog, where Kazutaka Kodaka — director and scenario writer for the series — claims his most desired crossover is with Metal Gear.
Kazutaka Kodaka: First of all, an RPG. Probably Metal Gear. As everybody knows, in Metal Gear, Snake has a communicator. The famous line is where Snake gets killed and the person on the other end screams, “Snake! Snake!” So that’s what I’d have Monokuma say when he kills Snake.
It’s probably nothing, but I just wanted to share this. Even if it’s two months old.
I LOVE Danganronpa 1 and 2 :D, 2nd is so awesome and I might like it more than 1st game! Some of the best Vita games out there definitely, for me maybe better than Persona 4. I recommend people to try them if have Vita. They also support both English and Japanese voice acting.
Btw I read recently some few weeks/months old news that they are developing DR3 but they haven’t gotten very far with it yet. Although I would be so happy to see a trailer of it in E3 XD. Anyway, can’t wait to play it ;).
The games are pretty long and especially in DR2 when a class trial takes place, it can take over 1h to find out who the killer is. The murders are also very well done so hard to know who has done it :).
Monokuma is so badass and funny, I can imagine him saying that lol. Monomi is kawaii too ;).
Damn I should do another playthrough of them when got time! It would be awesome if they release on PC or other consoles too.

I’m a huge DanganRonpa fan. And a huge Persona fan, really, but if you ask me, DanganRonpa’s better than Persona. But Metal Gear, DanganRonpa, and Persona are my 3 favorite series of all time.
I can’t wait for Another Episode, and DanganRonpa 3 can’t be anything but perfect.
Personally, I think 1 and 2 are on even ground. I think the first game does a better job of creating an oppressive and despair inducing story, and the second one does a better job of creating an emotional thrill ride. Both are great in their own ways. 2 is one of the only games that made me tear up.
I love Monomi/Usami. And Monokuma has GOT to be one of the most threatening villains in gaming, as well as one of the most humorous, and most demented. I’ve never before seen a villain like him, and I loved it.
With all that said, I’d love a DanganRonpa x Metal Gear, but I’ll face it, it’s not likely to happen.
Don’t lose hope, after all, who saw Monster Hunter X Metal Gear happening? Not this guy.

Yeah that blade arm is pretty sexy, interested to see what kind of stuff Adam can do in Mankind Divided :).
So you basically want a Metal Gear Rising based on Stealth, or at least have the option to switch between a Stealth or a Ninja Body!

Yeah I’m enjoying it very, VERY much. Been exploring the 2nd area you get in the game :), very huge and lots of quests, places to explore etc… So in main story haven’t gotten very far I think, but been doing some of it and side quests too. Just the kind of RPG I love. Wish I could skip work tomorrow and just play it >_< lol…
Releasing two weekly
have you installed patch 1.04? I did and my game started to lag in Novigard. I’m surprised It didn’t lag before since my video card didn’t meet the requirements but it ran so smooth smooth. I guess this patch made sure the game didn’t run well with my card. :'(
Hmm not sure, I’ve been playing on Ps4 and don’t remember updating it. There was some patch when I started play it for the first time. But it’s been running well for me so far.
That’s right. I forgot you have it on PS4. I think the problem was the PC version had an update that added Ultra settings to the graphics so it scrambled my custom settings but I fiddled about with it and it’s working right. I had a scare for naught.
Hmm, the new Skyrim.
When i finish Skyrim, maybe… 🙂

Every ‘group’ has a few tards, but the only thing that matters is if you play MG (and that you aren’t one of the few tards, lol), you are playing the same game no matter what platform you are on, and you can’t go wrong with more people playing 🙂
I’m playing MGS since 2005, since Subsistence, MGS3 was my starting point, and i’m glad i started from there, and then played MGS1 and 2!

Good thing you got a new PC, Unfortunately for me my logic goes like this “If I were to play TPP on PC I would need a new PC and if I were to get a new PC to play TPP I would want to do so on a 4K screen and if I were to get a 4K screen it would have to be of a good solid technology (that’s not LCD)” and because I can’t get a great 4K screen I don’t get a better computer and thus don’t play TPP on PC, lol. I’m going to give it a few years so 4K becomes more of a standard. This is of course assuming I would have enough money for even a great quality one of those let alone both, lol.
Im 100% Pc gamer but PlayStation is metal gear solid. When the game comes out I will melt my ps4 and then tried on my rig. I could play phantom pain in gameboy advance right now I don’t give a fuck XD

Ahh finally when I thought I could have peace in MGI you come back (jk)….welcome back and PS. no Pc gamer looks elitists when “bragging” about specs they have…however they do look elitist when they try to rub it in into other gamers like console users and PC users who have low end PC,and proclaiming that those users will have “significantly inferior experience” etc… when in the end it’s the same game and preference always will be the biggest factor for “immersive experience” 🙂

Just saw Mad Max Furry Road, and if Venom Snake is a silent character in the way Mad Max is silent, and Quiet or Ocelot depending on your choices will play a role in TPP like Furiosa, then i can’t freakin wait!
Tom Hardy was the only one acting Over the Top in a “Hayter Snake” way, he rarely talked, but he had the David Hayter Attitude combined with Skull Face’s Tone!
