Death Stranding 2: On the Beach launches June 26, 2025
During the Death Stranding Special Panel at SXSW 2025 in Austin (Texas), new details for the upcoming Kojima Productions title were revealed. Aside from Hideo Kojima himself, the panel consisted of special guests Norman Reedus (Sam), Troy Baker (Higgs) and musician Woodkid, and was moderated by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Kristen Zitani. It kicked off with a new trailer for the game, edited by Kojima himself.
The release date was also announced: Death Stranding 2 will launch exclusively for PlayStation 5 on June 26 of this year. A collector’s edition will also be available.

Pre-orders will begin on March 17.
A Death Stranding live orchestra tour was announced as well, titled the ‘Strands of Harmony’ world tour. Music from the games will be performed in 19 cities, with more locations possibly coming. More information can be found on the dedicated site.
Kojima also announced that the watch that one of the characters was wearing in the trailer will be available for purchase on the same day the game releases. More details can be found here.
