Hideo Kojima receives MVP Award at the Famitsu Awards 2015, MGSV wins two awards as well
The Famitsu Awards for 2015 just took place, and Hideo Kojima, Ayako Terashima and Ken Imaizumi of Kojima Productions attended the event. And there was a reason for that, as Kojima received a ‘MVP Award‘ on stage.
You may remember last year’s Famitsu Awards, when several Metal Gear games won prizes but no one was there to pick them up. This was shortly after the Konami – Kojima situation began in the month before.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won two awards as well, an Excellence Award and a Best Character Award for Snake. Additionally, Akio Ôtsuka (Japanese voice of Snake) won ‘Male Character Voice Award‘.

Who picked up those awards? Would be weird to see Kojima attending and not picking those.
No idea actually. Kojima did not mention these awards (he probably can’t), it was only mentioned by the official MG Twitter so far.

Many thanks for the infos. It was hard to understand for me, I heard “character” and “Snaku” many times but really wanted to know which prizes Konami collected thanks to KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS.
Lol, first I thought Ken was following that kind of remotely, and then, seeing Hideo walking on stage, I was like “Holy SH.T” (o__O) xD
He was also sitting at a table right in front of stage during the ceremony.. Congratz to Kojima-Sensei !

From the looks of it, I don’t think Kojima was allowed to pick up those 2 awards for TPP. But at least TPP won a few more awards!

Yeah that was weird, generally it is either Kojima or Konami that is present but never both.. Here, they both collected something. Like if Famitsu somehow wanted to give back to Caesar what belongs to Caesar.

I’m trying so hard not to get hyped over games anymore, I’m trying to enjoy waiting to judge the game for myself as I play it.
But, man am I hyped for his new game – I give up, I’m just going to get hyped for it like I was hyped for MGSV and if I get burned again; tough love.
Anyway under these conditions he will be free to create what he wants to and I’m sure it won’t suffer from the issues that plague MGSV – hopefully.
