Japanese voice actor for Ocelot announced
Ayako, Kojima’s personal assistant, has officially announced the Japanese voice actor for Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid V.
“The voice actor for Ocelot in JPN ver MGSV is Mr. Satoshi Mikami who does voice for Benedict Cumberbatch in SHARLOCK! Isn’t it something?!”
This seems to be Mikami’s first role in a video game.
A different tweet by Ayako is a reminder of the TGS schedule for MGSV:
“Okay, so tmw will be our last day at TGS. Hideo Kojima will do stage show @SCE booth at 12:30 & @MS booth at 15:30. Don’t miss it guys!”

It looks quite good visually speaking. This play also gives a good demonstration of how the new health system functions, combat, and the fact that your helicopter can be blown up!

though Ocelot here seem to be in MGS3 Naked Snake’s age so i don’t mind the change.

Didn’t he voice him in MGS4 because he was possessed by Liquid?

He was still Liquid in MGS4, in a way. The means through which he became Liquid were just different. But Ocelot truly believed he was Liquid. That’s how I see it at least.
tbh i didn’t understand that part.
the real Liquid possessing Ocelot from MGS2 due to the arm and Ocelot having some Psychic powers from The Sorrow would have made sense tbh.
even though it’s still unbelievable how a persons life can be transfer to arm(Nanomachines son?) it’s MGS!
but him impersonating? i don’t think i liked that.
i do think the real Liquid has some influence by it(maybe because of his memories from the arm that’s influencing Ocelot as a whole or anything)
tbh i would love a MGS4 Remake, i do think they rushed the game out since you can fit a 20 year history(at that time) in one game(should have been a trilogy)
oh well i just hope Kojima does something new after MGSV(Snatcher X Policenauts with Suda51 and 5pb? or ZOE3?)
You could call it impersonating, but remember, it was more than just acting. He was under hypnosis, and was acting according to Liquid’s personality. So what it came down to is that he did ‘think’ he was Liquid.
That’s just how I interpreted it though.
Actually, Koji Totani voiced Ocelot in both, MGS1 and MGS2. He died in 2006, shortly after the first MGS4 trailer was unveiled.
