Kojima and Shinkawa attending PlayStation’s 20th Anniversary event in Japan (with livestream)
A special event will be held tomorrow in Japan in celebration of PlayStation’s 20th Anniversary.
The event, hosted by the editors in chief of Dengeki PlayStation and Famitsu, will begin after the PlayStation Awards at 6:30 PM JST, and will be an hour in length. Among the guests are several well known Japanese game developers, and these include both Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa. It’s not clear whether they’re just going to be discussing, or actually showing stuff as well, but it can’t hurt to keep an eye out for the livestream. The event will be streamed on both Nico Nico and Youtube.

I grew up watching my family play MGS until I finally played it, and it became my favorite game franchise of all time.
Same here. I remember visiting my brother and watching him play it and I was seriously blown away.

Hmm they would probably start announcing LE for the game? Then again it’s kinda too early and maybe they should saved it next year as we draw closer to the release.

They were recently collecting feedback on the potential contents of the Japanese Premium Pack.
PlayStation owes a lot to Kojima. Metal Gear is a definite system seller for them. I hope Hideo shares some info with us at the event.
The bad news. I failed to turn in a big project by the final deadline. The good news. I’ll be able to watch a livestream for a change. By the way, did anybody else with a JP PSN account received the email from playstation with a 550 yen gift code? My japanese is too rusty to figure it out how to redeem it.
