Kojima attends 10th Anniversary party of Platinum Games
Yesterday, Japanese game studio Platinum Games celebrated their 10th anniversary. The studio is known for its renowned hack and slash games, including 2013’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, a project that was saved from cancellation thanks to the collaboration between Platinum Games and Kojima Productions.

Multiple famous Japanese game designers were present at the party, including Hideki Kamiya, Shinji Mikami, Goichi Suda, and of course Hideo Kojima. It’s good to see him keeping in touch with other masters of the Japanese gaming industry.

I hope that after Kojima productions will make their own game, Platinum Games can make a spinoff game from a KojiPro new IP but with better Technology this time around.
That’d be cool :). I guess anything is possible so we’ll see.
Joke : Since Konami mentioned Platinum in their answer about whether they can pull up a MGS without Hideo, could you imagine them being sub-contracted again by Konami for MGS 6, and in their turn sub-contracting Koji-Pro for artwork / story / game design ?? xD
Nice.Thanks for covering this,Boss.
I call it “The Night of Geniuses”,lol.
Good name :D.
Zandatsu Anniversary, huh ?
This awesome duel with RAY makes me consider a quick recap playthrough, hehe…

Good to see him , with other developers after last year.
BTW Gatsu I just finished episode 3 in LiS and OMG I was shocked , life is strange is just so good. Glad I bought it, can’t wait to see what happens next.
Start Episode 4 and …..I won’t go into details. It’s awesome.
Lol Indeed it’s incredible… I’ll be quiet now so I dont spill the beans ;).
I agree it’s awesome to see him participate in these events :)!
Haha, awesome that you enjoy it brother ^_^. Episode 3 ending cutscene is one of the best I’ve ever seen, so beautifully done. I was like OMFG, staring at the screen xD…
The whole game is a huge rollercoaster of emotions, so many amazing moments, I love it and trust me vic… Episode 4 and 5 is gonna nuke bomb your feels <3. Just avoid youtube and some forums, lots of spoilers.
Some of our bros here have been mindblown by the game too, so my spamming has been useful I think 😀 lol.
I agree with the ending cutscene of Ep.3.I was like:”What the F.. I did?I was suppose to fix things, but I made it worse, lol.”And that music that plays in the cutscene…Oh,man,I’m gonna go cry, lol.
Yep the song is perfect for it, so powerful and beautiful. emojiii
The soundtrack is too good – btw have you watched the directors commentary?

They talk about alot of great stuff. What I found the most interesting was their brief statements on the meta narrative and postmodern subtext. My first thoughts right after completion, was about how I might be reading too deeply into the game; I still thought it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in any medium, but there was a bit of doubt in my mind, but after hearing the developers talk about it, and give confirmation that was part of their intention, and the developers were indeed as smart as I thought they were – it makes me love the game even more.
Yeah I watched it a while ago, really great documentary ^_^ with lots of good stuff as you said. LiS has such excellent storytelling and deep meaning.
Waiting to see what awaits for Max in episode 4 and 5. I rented the game through gamefly beat the first two episodes and then decided I had to buy it and don’t regret it. It’s just too good. I bought the limited edition on ps4 and then like 2 weeks later it was on sale in the psn store, but it doesn’t matter because I have it physical, plus the book and the sountrack disc.
Ha we both have the same top 5 mostly, maybe I should try Lis too
What took me off guard about the game was how surprisingly meta it was – if I say anymore I will spoil but the game was the first in a while to remind me of MGS2 in the execution of its post modern twist. Stick with it and keep an open mind, that is all I will say.
A very strange game in deed… I love it – it’s one of my favourite things ever now.
What is Kojima legitimately wearing? I’ve never seen that before.
Looks like clothing that has been severely worn out. But it’s probably design.
Definitely design, but man… so weird.
Yeah, it looks like designer clothes. You know when the only difference between it and old drift store clothes is the price tag.
Like this homeless guy VS the high fashion show LOL

Derelicte, by Mugatu.
I always wonder why they paint the one eye on the Daruma. Is it symbolic? It has to be right?
“The recipient of the doll fills in one eye upon setting the goal, then the other upon fulfilling it. In this way, every time they see the one-eyed Daruma, they recall the goal. One explanation how this custom started says that in order to motivate Daruma-san to grant your wish, you promise to give him full sight once the goal is accomplished. This practice might also have something to do with the “enlightenment”, the ideal attainment of Buddhism. This custom has led to a phrase in Japanese translated as “Both Eyes Open”. Referring to “opening” the second eye, it expresses the realization of a goal.”

Nice. I’m going to get one and start my diet. I need to lose weight.
He let Shinkawa come too!
