Kojima in France for MGSV GZ Tour Day 2 – Location scouting in Normandy
Kojima is currently in Paris as part of a tour to promote the release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Here’s what he’s been up to on his second day (go here for a recap of the first day). After a French breakfast – croissants, of course, Kojima’s second day in Paris began.
“From Paris branch of KDEE.”
“Here for location scout. Normandie.”
“I’ve been wanted to come to Normandy for location scout for 10 years.”
What? Location scouting in Normandy? The Boss WWII game, anyone? Well, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Kojima took some more pictures of ‘Omaha Beach’, the code name of one of the landing zones of the allied forces during D-Day.
On the way back Kojima visited the town of Deauvill, and after arriving in Paris dropped by the Eiffel Tower.

What exactly is Normandy? Is it a place? Did something happen there?
If it something to do with WWII all i know is how the war started.

I was having a lot of suspicion over the Normandy scouting tweets as well. Nice touch noting The Boss game that’s been brainstormed in the past. I really feel like MGS4’s battlefield stealth, in WW2, would just be nuts. Even more nuts if it has MGSV style of open worlds.
Is that a mgs flask? lol if so awsome. Metal gear solid is on the same footing with star wars when it comes to collectables* id say. Kojima always takes pictures of his food lol you europeans are lucky cause for the most part food in america sucks compared to europe and the world for that matter. Anyway side note, cant wait to play gz on tuesday
Does anybody have any info on how the people who are buying the game digitally going to get the KonamiCore codes for the bonus dlc that come in the physical copies? Or how does it work?

i see ppl here commenting on the Normandy scouting. didn’t think of that. I definitely would love to see an MGS with a FEMALE protagonist. The Boss would be the perfect fit!

Maybe this hints at MGSV having some flashback scenes with The Boss. I doubt he’s scouting for an “MGS6”.
