Kojima will be speaking at next month’s Tribeca Film Festival
The Tribeca Film Festival is a yearly event taking place in New York City since 2002. This year it will recognize video games as well, and among the three keynote speakers is none other than Hideo Kojima. In this presentation he’ll talk about ‘what’s next for him’, as well as the influence of cinema on his work, according to the schedule on the official Tribeca website. [Update: this specific information has been changed to the simple announcement that there will be a ‘conversation’ with Hideo Kojima]
Kojima’s talk will take place on April 29th at 5:30 PM.
Other keynote speakers are Ken Levine and Sam Lake, known for BioShock and Alan Wake respectively (among other things). As is the case with Kojima, narrative tends to play a big role in their games. Each talk is scheduled to run for 50 minutes, and we may even get some new details on Death Stranding before E3 kicks off in June.
