Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain coming to Xbox Game Pass

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be one of the new titles to be added to Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s Netflix-like service that allows you to play a selection of games for $ 9.99 (or € 9,99) a month. For a period of three months, starting November 1st until January 31st 2018, subscribers of the service will be able to play the latest in the famous series.

The official description (which offers a rather strange description of the game) reads as follows:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
We’re excited to announce Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is joining Xbox Game Pass for the next three months. If you haven’t played Konami’s critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning latest installment to the legendary Metal Gear franchise, wait no longer.

In The Phantom Pain’s single-player campaign, you must stealthily guide Snake through an open world full of countless, dangerous enemies, while navigating the rugged terrain of Afghanistan to take down the evil Patriots organization. Once you finish with the campaign, gather your Xbox Game Pass comrades and jump into The Phantom Pain’s base-building multiplayer mode, Metal Gear Online. There’s so much to do, so don’t miss out on all the fun and intensity Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can offer while it’s in the Xbox Game Pass catalog from November 1, 2017 to January 31, 2018. And, if you love Metal Gear Solid V, get ready for next chapter, Metal Gear Survive, which is set to release on Xbox One February 20, 2018.

    • Yes, that is correct. It is explained kind of between the lines in MGS3.

Not very likely that Death Stranding will be there, but you never know.

If he had at least boarded for Paris, there could be a more concrete little chance, but I believe the cake might stay in the oven to cook a month more. ;D

In all cases, if some had to work out a trailer or something harder such as a gameplay footage, I guess he would prefer to stay focus a solid straight month before the deadline of such heavy events like TGA+PSX, to make sure nothing will f.ck up at the last minute, instead of adding another tiring trip to Europe.
The schedule feels a bit tight, we never know but California is almost tomorrow at those time-scales… Of course it is the opposite for us.. xD

      Prediction:
A Weird Teaser will be shown here
Games Awards 2017: parts of that teaser plus more substation new footage will reveal that is was a DS Trailer, and it will reveal it’s full name.

          • You don’t think it will just be ‘Death Stranding’?

No, but i might be wrong about that part, but i am confident that now on 30 we will get a teaser and we won’t know it actually is DS.

Geoff could definitely start the show with a Koji-prank of such or some kind of other twist, if anything juicy is scheduled for TGA.. Can’t wait / we’ll see !

    • The sound design from P.T. is just incredible. I hope that Ludvig Forsell will do the same job for the DS. I’m sure that DS won’t be a horror game but I hope that atmosphere music will be there all the time.
