Official Japanese MGSV site FAQ updated with some more details on MGO and FOB
The FAQ on the official Japanese website for MGSV:TPP has been updated with some new information on online play, which has been translated by JunkerHQ.
1. In MGO matchmaking, you can choose between ‘Japan’ or ‘ROW’.
2. You can infiltrate other people’s bases and they can infiltrate yours even if you don’t have PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold.
However, you won’t be able to deploy to defend your base without the online services (and you’ll need it to play MGO as well).
3. Mother Base resources are kept separate from those from your FOB.
4. You won’t be able to use vehicles when infiltrating FOBs, and you can’t bring a buddy along.

Yeah, it’s weird to me that people have a problem with the way Sutherland pronounces things. Mainly because I am actually deaf and have never had trouble understanding him! xD
To be completely honest I’ve understood what he said all the time. I can see how people might hear things like Gorgonzola but I heard it correctly, personally.

In an interview (currently live). Peeler said that you can own a total of 4
FOBs. The first FOB is entirely free and can be purchased with GMP. The
next 3 FOBs cannot be purchased with in game currency at all and can
only be purchased with Mother Base Coins. Mother Base Coins CANNOT be
earned in game by any means and can only be acquired through real world
currency transaction.

When I interpret the FOB Game-play Demo correctly they only had 1 FOB right? Looked like enough work to me tbh. Just imagine getting into constant FOB defends because you have 4 of them. That would actually harm my game play.

But I can’t see why you would need so much GMP. There will be a point in the game anyway where you have developed everything. Story gameplay and online gameplay wise? OR they have some sweet DLCs in store. (crosses fingers)
I think its going to take a while to develop everything with or without FOBs but my real point is that I hope there is some reward besides making the game harder
I read from Junker twitter that there was some way to earn. Or then it was a daily login bonus to earn few coins…
I didn’t think they would do it like this :/. I wonder though how easy it is to def all FOBs.

I doubt that. The PS4 doesn’t offer Intranet (Intranet=/=Internet) options as far as i know.
And for PCs, I’m fairly certain that this is something that requires a constant internet connection, since they DB on their servers store your FOBs. Thats why you can be attacked while being offline.

For me it says at the moment i’m posting this comment “This game will unlock in approximately 2 days and 5 hours”
The download period starts at 12am US Eastern Time now. For you, that would be 7am on the 1st. 2pm on the 31st would have been correct if Konami hadn’t gone back on their early unlock claim, but their representative made a claim without knowing 100% if it would be correct. So to answer your question, it is indeed 7am on the 1st.
