Screenshots: The Phantom Pain will allow you to create your own emblems
It was announced during Kojima Station Episode 34 that you will be able to create and customize your own emblems, which can then be used on your suit (on the right shoulder, the left is always the Diamond Dogs emblem), vehicles (chopper, jeeps, armored vehicles), containers, flags and exterior walls on Mother Base (by the way, you can adjust the color of your vehicles as well). The emblems can be created by combining different layers, including letters and silhouettes, placing them on top of each other as well as adjusting their colors. You will also be able to unlock new emblem parts by completing missions. Famitsu has published the images shown during the Kojima Station episode. The ‘DD’ emblem looks ugly on purpose, to ensure people will want to customize it.
A Big Boss emblem is included in all versions of the game (except for the regular and Day One Edition), which parts can also be used.

Just preordered MGSV The Phantom Pain JPN Limited Edition/Special Edition PS4. I don’t know why there’s no cheap shipping. Your force to pay $29 with limited tracking or standard $30
So now the price is $147, but eh it’s worth it to me 🙂

Just wanted to be sure cause I am getting a CE copy from GameStop (no way am i waiting the weeks it could take to get the jpn set shipped here just to play it) and I don’t want a ton of overlap. Anything I have doubles of I will likely try to sell. Or trade, Like those digital goodies.
Apparently, Japan isn’t getting all the digital stuff in the special editions. Over there, what DLC you’re getting depends on the retailer. Other than that, both the Japanese special editions and the western releases include the map and the blu-ray (though it hasn’t been confirmed whether the blu-ray will include the same content or not). Also, the western CEs include a steelbook, the Japanese CEs include a ‘special case’ as well but not sure if that’s the same thing, it looks more like one of those foldable paper sleeves on the pictures.
Keep in mind that the contents could still change.

nah. i’ve got a friend that went to Japan on January so i was thinking that it was cheaper if he does the preorder over there and later in the year send it to me by himself or from his girlfriend (in case he has to get back)

I would perhaps be too if had no console, not sure. But I’m super happy we can play MGSV on PC 😉 and that is what matters to me most. Now my brother and other friends can experience it too, who are not familiar with MGS if only have PC.

Hmm yeah it might not be the best place to start ;D, but Kojima said he try make it easier for new players to understand. Maybe all the flashbacks we get etc. But starting from beginning is the best imo.
I know two people who are thinking of starting with this game. I keep begging them to, like you, at least play Snake Eater but for some reason they just won’t. Their loss I guess. It’s one of the best games of all time. It’s still only rivaled by MGS4 for me.
Yeah, I’m probably going for PC version but it’s steam only and unfortunately, I’m this kind of guy that love his boxes… But I’m still happy. Ground Zeroes showed that they did a great job on pc version optimalisation, and we get only 2 weeks later release (look at GTA 5, they keep moving the release date for pc)
Well it’s still 6 months off and anything could happen because as we all know kojima can be a very OCD type of person and this game could still be pushed back and/or pushed forward. More likely to go back than forward. Just keep hope up!
He’s kind of obsessed with never delaying games so I’m guessing that’s why it’s September because it guarantees plenty of time. I’d be incredibly surprised if the date changed.
I think the reason for this is the digital only steam release, if there was a psychical release I bet dollars to donuts they would have a CE for PC. Honestly it sucks to only be able to get the DRM steam version, it would be amazing to get a DRM free version of MGSV.
It might come to GOG. If it did that would be perfect, they’re making their own Steam-esque stand alone game collection app. I’m really starting to hate Steam.

A cool emblem to try and recreate would be the Sons of Liberty flag.
looks like i was wrong last time about the emblems. so u can decide which will be shown. i like to keep the MSF logo on the suits.
Hopefully they will allow some type of upload feature. Or a pc wiz figures out a way to upload tgem. Got alot of ideas
There probably won’t be an upload feature simply because of the way they were discussing making your emblem, I imagine it will be like the Halo games when making emblems in which you select and change different parts of the emblem but you don’t get to create your own pixel by pixel. That being said chances are high a PC wiz will create a mod that lets you do so.
Is this also going to be used on MGO clan emblems?
Help please… I have a question, is the Premium Package (Konami style Limited Edition) is limited? means that it could finish in the future before the release date of the game? because maybe I’ll order it before the release date later if it does not finish, but if it does finish I have to order it now. please.

Yeah it’s kind of surprising that with the technology of games in this day and age, wheels are still difficult to make round.
It is an exchange. Less polygons for wheels, more polygons to characters. Ps4 60 fps, 30 fps Ps3.

It’s probably console, and that’s really minor. I don’t think you typically see the wheels of the heli when you’re in it, or when there’s shit shooting at you.
The rest of the helicopter looks like a photograph and, of course, gamers hone in on the slightly unround wheels. -____- Remember, this is a PS3 game running on PS4 and PC so most assets are shared.

I was watching a video from Yong Yea, he said that Kojima told in the last video we can manage our MB easily and without anybody pissing us off. He said that at certain moment at the story, the online VS feature will be “activated”, and then other players will annoy us. Which drives me to think that maybe there are bazillion clones of Big Boss, and we are all playing as clones. Let’s see. This game keep me intrigued as hell. >.<
I hope that cutscenes and storytelling stuff will be loooooong. I want everything closed in the saga, i want to enjoy every freaking second of the game.
But at same time, an open game to another new possible games in the future to develop new and old characters; as Kojima, again, said that this will be his last MGS.
Would be cool to have a countdown timer here in the website, counting the days we have to wait for the game.

I’ve expressed concern about the same feature with other players being in your game and all. I think it’s a given that such a function should be optional, cause not a whole lot of people want to come back from a mission of Miller and Ocelot taking turns barking in their ears to see the whole based robbed of everything but a few silos tagged with dick emblems.
