      This drop is abnormally drastic..
Perhaps they figured out / patched a specific glitch on Steam, and possibly invalidated a substantial amount of illegally collected or generated war-heads ?..

          Thanks for the chart.
Yeah, Steam is loosing ~500 nukes per day between 15th and 22nd !?

you know what that means…CHAPTER 3 CONFIRMED! Although it is nice that eventually we can get the achievement on PC too.

            Haha, Chapter 2.999999…

If this trend is confirmed, I hope most of those nukes will be somehow invalidated, because 7.5K nukes won’t decommission that fast.
I’d like at least one, whatever the plat, just to know what happens, even if we won’t get anything else than the last cut-scene..

          • Mr.Pony

yeah, at this point is more just seeing the cutscene and putting the subject to rest than actually believing that there is anything else.

There is talk in the forums that it might be Konami, somehow enforcing their reviewed anti-cheat, or just making use of reports or even rendering non-active palyers absurd ammount of nukes obsolete.

      • That would be good. They should look into the issues on the other systems as well.

Konami has done some weird things lately, Fully Remaking MGS3 Assets for a Pachislot Game, and the decision to include a Hunting System in MG:SurVive similar to MGS3, and even adding the “Cure” on the go aspect, in real time in Fox Engine got me thinking.

What if Konami is actually working on an MGS3 Fox Engine Remake, a 15th Anniversary edition of the Game, and the Pachislot we’re a Test to figure out how to Remake the Cutscenes in Fox Engine, while staying faithful to Kojima’s Original vision, and the decision to make MG: SurVive, and include the main “Snake Eater” aspect, is to see whether or not the main MGS3 Mechanics (Food, Stamina, Cure, Cammo) would work as well if not better in real time, depending on how people respond to they way the are implememnted.

If so, those of you who played the Beta, how do these MGS3 Mechanics work in real time, and would they work as well in an MGS3 Remake in Fox Engine, and if not, what would you change to improve it?

    Just a thought.

    • Pachislot is a huge business for Konami, it’s not a test for them. There are a lot of CGI studios in Japan that can remake these cutscenes while staying faithful to the original vision of the game. In fact Konami outsourced MGS3 cutscenes to some studio in Japan. There is no problem to make them good. You already have mo-cap data and original source material.

Not sure that Konami is interested in remaking MGS3 game within it’s studios. It’s a hard sell. If they are going to do it, they will probably outsource it to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluepoint_Games or other studios that does similar to this. End of story.

Also, SurVive hunting system is not new anymore. A lot of games that has emphasis on survival already do this in games like DayZ and other survival games.

  • So i finally saw Children of Men last night. Apart from being a great movie, WOW, Kojima wasn’t kidding when he said he used it as an inspiration for various scenes and overall tone of Guns of the Patriots. A few of the battle scenes from the movie are faithfully reproduced in-engine, complete with the exact same camera framing and movement and soldiers positions and motions. Unbelievable, for a few moments i was looking at MGS4 the motion picture 😀
