The Venom Triumph Bonneville appears on eBay for $10,000
You may remember the custom made, real-life Venom Triumph Bonneville that was on display at several events to promote Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, including Comic-Con and Igromir.
Now, you can own a similar vehicle for a mere $10,000 USD. Someone on eBay is selling the item, with bids starting at 10k.
If you wonder how this eBay seller got his hands on the bike, here is the story: it was given away as a contest prize at Comic Con Russia, organized by Konami and SoftClub (Konami’s Russian representatives). To have a shot at winning the bike, fans had to buy any edition of the game either at gaming store GamePark or during Igromir 2015, and fill in a form. The winner was determined on October 4th, and that’s where the eBay seller got the item.

They won’t add another gameplay mechanic as DLC. Only skins and that FOB Event at most. There’s nothing in the game that behaves as a motorcycle to them to release as DLC. It’s too much work to release, I’m sorry to tell you.

What’s funny is, there is no logistical reason why all buddies can’t be deployed at once. Quiet and DD fit fine in the helicopter, and the other two are always fultoned into the field.
The way they presented us the bike was a marketing trick. They called it Venom, showed Venom on it in the trailer, and it even has the left handle in red colour. Everything was a lie. And l was hoping to drive it in-game.

I agree that there’s more to come and that the FOB is the key to it, they had that thing in FOB recently where you could attack that FOB with no repercussions and like you said they have online combat missions now to give us tons of Fuel (which is required for building the nukes in the game), it’s building up to something and they want everyone to be able to infiltrate FOB’s when the time comes (imo)
Yeah,there is a Nuclear Disarmament cutscene in the game yet to be seen,but it seems to be impossible to achieve,cause it requires all the players around the world to cooperate for triggering it.Kojima wanted players to cooperate to bring peace to the world by disarming nukes.That’s a cool idea by itself,but like I said it’s impossible to achieve.Also what about the guys who play offline?I’m an offline player,I don’t play online cause I don’t have powerful and speedy internet connection.What about me?Should I just completely ignore it,cause I can’t participate in it/see it?
Also,just an advice:Completely forget about those tapes.Maybe they are nothing and we are making a big deal out of it.Don’t get hyped for it,there’s a high chance of getting nothing in the end.If you get hyped for it and the result turns out to be nothing,you just hurt yourself.

I am not sure what is exactely in this .lua script to trigger the scene. It could have been a fun concept and maybe KP wondered if it was possible at some point, but they had enough time to figure out that it is technically impossible. Since all solid hint we have on this topic is Peeler’s answer saying “he would be impressed if someone manage to unlock it that soon”, I think there are two options : Either the trigger is very well hidden, either an update will unlock it. I doubt it will require us to wait until every single nuke visible online is disarmed, because it is a statistically impossible scenario, and Peeler somehow implicitely almost admitted it was yet possible to unlock it.
well, players cooperating in this way would be “something that can only be done in video games and has neber be done before” right? I also read an article about TPP storing save files in GZ folder or something like that. anyway I still believe there is something BIG hidden, waiting for the right moment to reveal itself

You can’t say that if the game hasn’t ended. Kojima is doing the same thing that happened with Moby Dick.
I wouldn’t say that it was bad, somewhere inbetween good and bad.

If there is anything else to the story, I bet that we will learn about it along with the launch of MGO on PC.
There’s no ruse! That’s just stupid! People just want to keep playing this game since it’s the last one from KP. The game is complete! The story lines up to MG1 without problems and even gets supplemented with the CE Blu-ray disk.
Honestly, it’s getting past the sad part this whole “NeverBeGameOver” stupidity. Quoting interviews from years ago and analyzing everything anybody tweets as paranoic kids.
Grow up and face facts! The most you’re getting from the game is cosmetic DLC and some events to unlock the Nuclear Disarmament ending maybe.
I already read something about those tapes but I don’t understand. I know there was a tape in GZ that couldn’t be played but you can play it in TPP or something? can you please explain ? 😀

i thought it was a given we would have this in game, even more when you take into account the biker attire at the end. since it wasn’t that way i don’t see the importance for this bike, of course it looks cool but it’s just a custom vehicle, there could have a custom MGSV car and it would be the same thing, people could even pay to customize their vehicles and it would be the same too… it’s not like this is a much in game related thing it became something more like an ad or use of a brand
Well the bike wouldn’t fit into the setting anyway imo. But damn I was expecting a lot more for Mother Base

I know, I just like to think that there’s an MGS5 in the pipeline that shows what Big Boss was doing during TPP and that V is a spinoff, but either way I’m satisfied with MGSV.
Well, it’s not. It’s a legit game telling it’s own story. The same way SE told us about the origins of the last boss of MG2:SS, this one does so about MG1’s last boss.
It’s a great game with a rightful place in the saga. Don’t need to be everything about Big Boss/Snake. It’s like writing out MGS2 as a spin-off and waiting for a game where Solid Snake’s POV from the events gets released.
I understand that. I love the Venom character and all. I’m not sure if it can be compared to MGS2 because Solid is there with you the entire game. On the other hand we have no idea what BB is doing other than going to Soviet Russia.
Maybe it wasn’t as important. Better to think that because we never know anyway now with Kojima gone.

It is really lame how much time, effort, and money they were able to spend on marketing and stupid consumer goods for this game, yet they couldn’t even get it finished.
No bid yet in the Boneville… i wonder why… rofl, no one wants snake vehicle ^^ i bet if this was a in game item there would be a thousand bids already
really odd that its not the same bike that was in the UK. i can understand the adding of the indicators/bigger rear light/the number plate holder and the re-adding of speed dials etc to make it road legal but the fact smaller things like the petrol cap now being black, the removal of the bag rack over the rear part of the seat, the tyres have been changed and some of the engine parts and the gear on the back wheel is now black not gold, its now got two red handle bar grips not one black one red, the exhaust have extra angled bits added to them on the ends and the biggest difference is the fact the font on the details is wrong (look at the DD on the battery cover, the inside of the D’s are rounded not square).
TL:DR its not the same bike that was in the official photos from Triumph or shown at the big reveal at the UK MCM EXPO.
