Voice recordings still ongoing at Kojima Productions
While fans around the world are eagerly awaiting a release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Kojima Productions is still hard at work finishing the game. It appears voice recordings aren’t quite done yet, as Kojima has been recording with Japanese voice actors Satoshi Mikami (Ocelot) and Tomokazu Sugita (Kaz).
Update: Belgian fansite metalgearsolid.be has provided a translation of the few lines we can see on the paper. The dialogue recorded is for various radio communications. The text on the paper reads (translated from French to English, so obviously it may differ from the official script):
Explaining to the player that attacking will have no effect
10001/Miller – “Boss, any attack is useless!” (column 1502)
10002/Ocelot – “Stop! It serves no purpose!” (column 1502)

Remember, both Kaz and Ocelot are radio contacts and will have a lot of lines in the game, so it’s no surprise the recording takes up a great deal of time. In any case, the release window of the game should be announced soon.

I think because the face/motion caption was done by the English actors and it’s being dubbed in Japanese.

Unless it’s a few lines we’ve got a long wait. I was thinking April but after seeing this I’m thinking Q3 now too. I honestly think this is Kojima’s way of saying “it’s going to be later than you’re all thinking” without outright saying it.

I don’t know if anybody so far has pointed this out, but i think the whole David Hayter thing is just another ruse for the game’s promotion.
They wouldn’t destroy such a professional relationship with Hayter and Hayter wouldn’t nag about their poor choice in front of the media.
He’s gonna be in TPP. I know it.

IMHO, He may and i say MAY with a heavy heart because the possibility is pretty IFy and we have no confirmation.. MAY be solid snake in TPP. or in future installments that are bound to come. People who are gonna say he said this will be his last.. paaaaleeasee.. he has said that for he last 2 games too.. this is Kojima, people! The minute he feels like breaking more boundaries, BOOM! Kojima did say that there are flashbacks in the game, maybe those parts + some other. They need the man.
On the other hand, Kojima the “Trolijima” isn’t gonna make another MGS for some time. He’s got Silent Hills on his hands and Guillermo is around to hang with.
Yea but what if the flashbacks are re-done in fox engine (which they most probably are because taking videos from old games seems too lazy for Kojima’s style), he doesnt need hayter for that.. Plus it’s his property, he can take MGS 3/Pwalker Snake and re-do it in fox engine with kiefer Voicing it.. We’ve just gotta take with a pinch of salt that mayb hayter will not be back and if he does, he may be back as solid snake rather than Bboss.. I hope that somewhere along the game i just hear hayter’s voice but that is me hoping for that to happen.. im not expecting that to happen though ..
Well, Kojima’s a big fan of cinematic style cutscenes in his games. Plus, from what i’ve seen, he’s changed his style for MGS V, something like current Hollywood movies which consists of 1 continuous shot for the entire scene, plus some facial expression stuff and there you have it.
My theory is that Hayter’s needed for the new cinematic style. His old voice over’s just ain’t gonna cut it.
Lol wishful thinking. If he is, he will be snake. Somehow I’m guessing this will lead up to metal gear one or some crap. I doubt it though, If he’s not, I honesltly won’t miss him. Sutherland has more range in terms of vocal expression. Hayter is grunt all the time, which isn’t bad, but for V I just think its better this way, the evolution of face expression allows for a more ranged voice.

I second your comment, as long as MGO server’s ain;t shut down…. but I kinda doubt it as the studio doesn’t like paying for server costs but heres hoping, I read a comment on the twitter stating and I quote “…If we do our jobs right there won’t be a need for MGO4.” so hey may these be the best 4 year run of MGO3 (T~T)

The release date should be announced soon, because as much as I know the game will be great, my hype is slowly vanishing over those past two months.
I thought mine was gone at Christmas but it came back. Seeing this, it’s gone for good. It’s okay, I don’t have feelings now. I won’t be coming back here until July just to see what’s going on. *spoiler* He’ll still be recording voices.

I wonder how will the pc community be. In terms of almost everything. I really hope the pc base is a strong one. When MGO3 is long dead and gone On ps4, I hope to keep playing it on pc. I hope some type of modding is acceptable. I didn’t mod GZ but I hope its more accessible. I hope the community will be like skyrim when it comes to modding
Oh my god, a modding-community along the lines of The Elderscrolls’ for Metal Gear would effectively kill my interest in any other game for decades OO
Just take into consideration the quality and sheer amount of content the mod-community has made and still makes for Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, and apply that to MGS V. Sooner or later we would have a remake of every MG game in the Fox Engine, a metric ton of new weapons, outfits, missions, enemies, vehicles and more XD
Look at GTA V, ICE enchancer, that is the weakest gta ever and it still has support. I imagine MGS will have some fan support as well.
If konami knows whats good for them, they will release other games/maps on pc before someone mods it in lol.

Now this is getting weirder and weirder every time HK posts a picture. So Venom Snake has bandages in his forehead? maybe the shrapnel just fell down who knows. Also he’s wearing a watch on his prostethic arm, why would he need a watch for.
Hideo Kojima maybe testing the whole game for himself and he may be close to the ending. The fact that when he showed the portable restroom ( don’t know the proper name for it) miller was speaking in english makes it look like the game is finished at least the english version of it. Yeah I know the game still needs work and polishing and things like that but I don’t think there’s heavy stuff to do anymore. Here’s hoping for an April-June release and if late, I hope August.

Hmm..if you zoom in you can still see the debris poking out through the bandage, but could this point to some sort of healing system akin to MGS3 or is it because of something in the story of the game?
Or could this be related to the coma, most likely after BB wakes up from it and has gotten new bandages, or is it purely cosmetic like the camo-cap options from MGS4?

Im really hoping there is a cure mode like that in mgs 3, i know many people may find it bad and hard but i find it awesome… perhaps they could implement different settings for the people who do and dont.. but thats just me hoping
