Metal Gear Rising Revengeance available now on Steam

Today is the official release of last year’s Metal Gear spin off, the action game Metal Gear Rising Revengeance developed by Platinum Games in collaboration with Kojima Productions.

The PC version includes all downloadable story missions (three in total), as well as all bonus skins for Raiden, plus a few new options. The game costs 19.99 dollars / euros. Head over to the Steam website to purchase it.

Note that due to region locking, Metal Gear Rising is currently unavailable is some countries. Platinum Games have stated that they are looking into the problem.

Nice! Really want this game to sell well
    Also this

    • Janeo

It saled well on consoles according to Kojima so good sales and good reviews it’s pretty likely we will get a sequel Kojima said he wants to do rising to so if he wants it it will happen

    • Grim

I hope it sells well too although there’s a lot of regions that are locked out from enjoying this game. I want to enjoy it but I only have a Steam key(pre-order) that doesn’t do anything due to the region lock.

And I’m starting to hear whispers that the game has a bug that requires you to be online all the time….

  • Golgari

I’m Playing MGR:R right now. I can say for sure that the console port is very good. Graphical options/Resolution/Anti-Aliasing/filters/shadows/Zandatsu options + controls are nice.

  • Shalashaska

The game costs $29.99 US currency actually.

Also beware: as of right now, you need to have a stable internet connection to play it. There hasn’t been word on why that is. (It wasn’t specified on the Steam page, and apparently some people are claiming the problem is Steam and not an extra DRM placed by Konami.) Just an important note I wanted to share until the problem is fixed. (If it is a bug, anyway.)

    • Nyxus

It’s a bug, and they are working on it.

      • Shalashaska

Lol apparently they fixed it today.

        I don’t own the game, so I wouldn’t know.

  • PrinceHeir

ehh i’ll wait for the DRM free version.

  • Jonny2x4

The packaging of the PlayArts GZ Snake figure looks beautiful.
